Had a fun night : great food, great drinks and fine jazz - what else do u need ? The food comes from the "blue smoke" kitchen : a great bbq place. The jazz performance wad top notch and the atmosphere is very warm and cosy.

We really lucked out here, and will be sure to make a reservation next time. Walked in and were seated at an awesome table, ordered drinks, were blown away by the jazz, so paid to stay for a second set and ordered dinner. So fun. Had two people join our table for the second set, and it was great fun.... More

This is an excellent Jazz Club. We have spent a great evening with perfect food, great cocktails and fantastic service. We have been to other Jazz venues like the Village and found that this Club was really the best in NYC.

Amazing place and great music - one of the best jazz venues I have ever been. I definitely would say yes, it is worth a visit.

Let me start by saying that I am a bit of a jazz snob - and have been in most of the clubs in NYC and elsewhere. This place is at the very top of my list, and is a "must do" for any jazz fan visiting the city. The club is small - the price is reasonable - the... More

Saw the Mingus Orchestra on Monday night with a bassoon quartet opening, since the International Double Reed Society's annual conference was in NY for the first time. Regular Mingus bassoonist Mike Rabinowitz was also playing in the quartet - what that man can play on a large woodwind instrument is amazing. The main show was also excellent, with a number... More

We were there in June for a great Afro-Cuban jazz show and everything was wonderful. Tables are tight but the service was excellent as is both the drink and food menu. The food comes from the Blue Smoke and it is the best bbq! The only negative was the price. I know it's Manhattan so on par with other locations... More

Booked this after a recommendation on Facebook. It was our first dinner after arriving in NYC for the first time. Tired and jet lagged we had no expectations at all. Turned out to be a good choice! The restaurant on the ground floor seemed a little boring and at first we thought we had come to the wrong place. A... More

Didn't know what to expect. Walked into a very cozy club. Service was warm and friendly. Surprisingly good smoked southern food. Good music, nice, homey ambiance. 20 piece band. How could you go wrong? Even my 22 year old daughter enjoyed it.

We are Jazz lovers, being in NYC means - get as much of it as we could. The venue is a bit overcrowded, but we had a good table and the setting is among other patrons, so we had the opportunity to sit next to a couple of New Yorkers on one site and another from Chicago on the other.... More
