Saw a great deal of New York City but very quickly - gave a good overview and we could then decide what we wanted to see in more details. Maybe the walking parts were just a bit too quick, particularly when it came to crossing the roads! Guide very knowledgeable and learned some interesting facts.

The tour itself was great! Derek did a fantastic job, he was very knowledgeable of the history and areas shopping, eating, entertainment, etc. He was able to answer all the questions he was faced with. He took us to a nice Italian restaurant in Little Italy, "Paesano's" and the food was yummy, the atmosphere, unique! The only downfall, was when... More

This is really great if it's warm , have a good tour director that points out all the building s , history and architect .. And if that interests you . I took a 5 year old , it was his dream . I thought I would suffer through it . But , it ended up being a highlight !!.... More

Worth the money! Marc has such knowledge about the City both historic and future plans. He also has a sense of humor in his delivery that made the tour entertaining and educational. He is organized and runs the tour with a fresh attitude even though he does this everyday. It moves at a fast pace not to get board but... More

Hop on hop off buses are great as you get to see everything. However, with the traffic, the round trips often take longer than you might expect. If time is important, use the subway. The subway seems to have a poor image in films - dirty, dangerous and threatening - but it`s nothing like that - and it`s cheap.

very interesting tidbits, hints, and fabulous views. Try the uptown loop one day and the downtown loop the next. Decide from the tour where you want to spend more time. Great introduction to all the neighborhoods. HINT: Weekends are tough on the hop on/hop off. recommend weekday tours.

This is a great way to see where everything is located around the City. With a hop on hop off - great way to see it all. Night view is great tour - enjoy it all.

This tour certainly didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to have wonderful weather for our tour and be guided around New York by Marc and driven by Kris. Marc was charismatic and very informative and made the effort to talk to pretty much everyone on the tour at some point during the day. He knew answers to all the questions... More

We enjoyed our tour that included Empire State Building skip the lines and our lunch in Little Italy. NY Shuttle Tours made excellent accommodations for us when the 5.5 hr tour was cancelled by moving us into the 9 hr tour.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
