what a somber place to visit. to see the 40 feet deep waterfalls in the footprint of the twin towers is amazing. to read all the names in bronze of people that died is amazing. and to see all the trees planted there. when they get the museum opened , that will make it even better. More

I was deeply moved. I don't think an American can visit this site and not be moved. More

I would recommend visiting the Ground Zero site during your visit to New York, remembering the lives lost on 9/11. You have to book your free entrance ticket online prior to your visit, otherwise you will not get in. Security to get into the site did take a while (however it was just a week after opening) so may not... More

You do need to book before you go (it is free). The security is cold, efficient, airport like. The site is kind of bleak, but I know there are huge pressures and heavy discussions in the USA on all aspects of the 9/11 disaster. According to my friends in the US, politics, sentiment and grief are all fuelling the difficulties... More

It was surreal to be there and to see these massive pools of water where the towers once stood. It was a very moving experience that made what happened here so much more real. Definitely worth the visit. The passes are free but its best to secure them online before visiting. More

A touching place to see. Be sure to arrange your free ticket online in advanced or you will not get into to see the site. More

An incredible tribute to lose lost, very moving. Order your tickets online and be at the entrance at your arrival time. There is so much construction in the area and there are NO bathrooms. Make sure you go before you get in line. The line is ridiculously long but moves fairly fast. More

We have been to NYC four times since the 911 tragedy and always went to Ground Zero. Up until this time it was a very sad, moving experience, the area filled with quiet, thoughtful remembrance of that horrible day. This time was different I am saddened to say. You must run a gauntlet of hawkers of memorobilia to get to... More

We had to go and pay our respects and took along an American friend who'd never been there. We all cried, a very moving experience. A beautiful tribute More
