It tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, their unexpected friendship and collaboration evolves into a powerful but complicated romance, heightened by the raw emotion of the songs they create together. Brought to the stage by an award-winning team of visionary artists and featuring an ensemble cast of gifted actor/musicians, once is a musical celebration of life and love: thrilling in its originality, daring in its honesty... and unforgettable in every way. « less

Not a huge production, just shear talent. Casting call must have consisted of: Sing, dance, act and play multiple instruments, all very well? Please audition.

I've never been to a Broadway show that I was looking forward to see a second time but that is how I felt at the end of the show!

I was disappointed. It must have won the Tony awards during a lackluster new musical year. Short Broadway run to be expected. I saw it on tour to a 1/3 filled house. The word must have gotten out.

This is an out of the box musical. The story is exceptional, and the music is fantastic. You need to like music like the Lumineers and forego large scale dance numbers, but you won't miss the production. It's a can't miss!

One of those rare occasions where I actually dozed off in the first half of the play.....sorry! Unfortunately we just could not get hooked and enjoy the play. As a result we left at intermission....again sorry!

Had seen the movie and loved it so thought we would check out the musical and it was so worth it - what a great show! Get there early and you can have a drink on stage while the musicians warm up and play Irish music on stage.

Once enthrals you from the very start. The cast are extremely talented, the music is exceptional and the script is enhanced by intermittent comical lines. It is not your classical big production musical and that is what makes it so exceptional. Not to be missed.

We really enjoyed "Once". Go early and get on stage for a real Irish Pub experience! The use of the stage was very smart. Lots of talent and good humour.

Seeing this show made for an enjoyable evening;however, I was very glad we purchased tickets at a discount. The music with which I was not familiar was very good. The male lead had a great voice and the character that played Billy was also quite good. The female lead may have been a problem with casting or script or both... More

All of the reviews We read described the musical just as a 'boy meets girl'family show. After half an hour and MULTIPLE uses of the 'F' word we had to leave. Potential for a really enjoyable show as the story was really great but just found it rather offensive. We were also forced into buying two of the very expensive... More
