Owner description: Once is the celebrated new musical based on the Academy Award-winning film. It tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, their unexpected friendship and collaboration evolves into a powerful but complicated romance, heightened by the raw emotion of the songs they create together. Brought to the stage by an award-winning team of visionary artists and featuring an ensemble cast of gifted actor/musicians, once is a musical celebration of life and love: thrilling in its originality, daring in its honesty... and unforgettable in every way.

Once, an Irish love story was wonderful! We decided on a Saturday morning to take the train to New York and find a show and have dinner. We went to the Red Steps in Times Square at Father Duffy Square at Broadway and 47th Street to buy last minute tickets from the Theatre Development Fund. We decided on Once the... More

Very boring and poor performances. I was never captured by the acting or singing. Wish I could say more positive but just was not there. We were able to mingle on the set before starting and during intermission and even buy refreshments at the pub bar. Having spent time in Dublin pubs it would be interesting how locals review the... This is an unusual show with floating sets and the cast ever-present on stage. Very well done. Superb acting and music. Trust this will return to Broadway soon!

Where to start. As a long time supporter and consumer of musicals I was excited to see this production, which I had yet to get around to seeing. Thankfully I spent a massive sum on 4 tickets right before closing. Unfortunately, this musical was awful top to bottom besides the choreography. The music is processed pop culture gagarbage worthy of... More

very sad to see this show close. We went to the last show on Sunday afternoon. If you can, catch the Tour in your local city. So much talent on the stage. No orchestra - all the actors are musicians and play on stage.

Life changing musical performances. Definitely more meaningful if you have seen the movie. Can't say enough about the talent in this production!

Once is an experience that is truly unique. The man who wrote the book of the musical, Enda Walsh, is a true genius; and the lyrics and music carry one to a place that is magical and cathartic. This piece is one I can recommend to any and all.

We really enjoyed the show! Great music and story. I am really glad we came and saw it before it closed. It is now going on the road. If you get a chance to see it in a town near you, dont miss it!

I loved Once!! The music, performers and story was so amazing. I was touched and the story has stayed with me. I immediately downloaded the soundtrack. Highly recommend for music lovers and hopeless romantics. It's a bittersweet story - LOVE!

Great music, great actors, great story! We loved the play, and especially appreciated the quality of the musicians/actors. Several played different instruments which was impressive. As fun as the play was, the live pre-show music for 25-30 minutes before the show was as good or better. 2 of the last 3 songs were incredibly powerful and fun - I swear,... More
