Why do they call it sheep meadow? Matt knows.

This tour should be on the itinerary for native new yorkers and tourists alike. It's a well paced stroll that stops at about 28 different locations and lasts about 2.5 hours. Our tour guide (Matt) provided a detailed historical narrative intervoven with humor, fun facts, and suggestions of other fun activities to do in the park. The small group size... More

I was born in NYC and this is the first time I explored Central Park. I was really impressed with Heather, our tour guide. She is not a native New Yorker but she knew a lot about the history of NYC and Central Park. Kudos to Heather. This tour is about 3 hours and it is not a slow paced... More

I highly recommend this tour for tourists and New York natives alike. Our guide Matt Falber skillfully wove together the colorful political and cultural histories of New York to show how they developed and grew Central Park. I have run in the park for years, but I explored sections I had never seen before and saw familiar spaces in a... More

Just like NYC, Central Park is huge and can seem really overwhelming, but with Matt Falber as your guide you will know your Central Park history and navigation by sundown. The tour hits all of the big sites, and gives you a great detailed history of the park. Great for out of owners or locals who just want to know... More

My husband and I met after work for this tour. Matt was the guide and was full of interesting and relevant history of NYC, the Park and the People. He brought the park and the past 100+ years to life for us. As a native New Yorker, I was surprised to learn so many new things about NY and the... More

I had the good fortune to sign up and take a Central Park Sunset tour this past Friday. For four miles over approximately three hours, you are guided through the southern half of Central Park. The northern half is mostly rocks, trees, and the reservoir. Our tour guide, Will (I think), really knew more than one could possibly ask about... More

Central Park is so vast you need a pro like Matt to guide you through. His passion and knowledge is impressive and he made everyone feel relaxed. I could not have had a better guide or chose a better evening. This is the best way to learn about the park - thanks Matt.

I had gone on this tour previously and decided to treat my parents to it on their visit since I had enjoyed it so much the first time. Heather was our guide and she was lovely. She was knowledgable and traveled at a good pace for my parents. The guides do a very good job of determining pacing with the... More

Matt's knowledge of Central Park is amazing. The tour is a brisk walk through the park with ample opportunities to sit down and learn. Bring your sense of curiosity and your best walking shoes and you will be in for a treat. I've visited Central Park since the 1960's but never like this. Wonderful experience and a chance to commune... More
