Dropped by this place after having had dinner near by, and purchased tickets for a amature impro /stand-up show. At 12$ each (10$ if we had purchased the tickets online) we got a good laugh in a informal, small theatre. Service, both in ticket sales and the bar, were great and the performers were brilliant. A different touch of new... More

Went to a storytelling show which was ok. Over al -the venue was clean, easy to get to, very friendly staff, good seats in the little theatre, and the price was right ($8). And a spacious bar, bar area to wait for your show. Nice night out- didn't know this place even existed!

My friend and I had a great night out at the improv theater, the show we went to see was a little amateur but overall the night was great because the tickets were cheap, the place wasn't too busy, the drinks were good, the staff were friendly. Its a great night out in NY and so many different shows so... More

This little theater is tucked away, a bit down the road from Madison Park. Wonderful, fresh talent, so reasonably priced. Special shows and showcases most Tuesdays. A must see for the true flavor of a $7 seat for fun laughs!! Slap Fight is one of the better sketch Comedy troupes. And the infamous Eataly is down a few blocks for... More

Planned a night in NY by the seat of our pants. Took Amtrak up, booked a room and had a steak dinner. Decided to try Improv for something different. Selected The PIT based on online recommendations, brief show descriptions, and their location vs. our dinner reservations -- timing matched. Ended up having a fun time for an hour -- two... More

We had a great time here! They had a bar area in front and the theater area toward the back. There were so many people and so many things happening. It's right off Lex which was conveniently close to where we were staying. Fun!

First let me say, Free Cake was really funny! This Improv group opened for another act that just got too raunchy, and in my opinion, when Improv gets raunchy, it has lost the true spirit of creativity. Free Cake, however, was funny, edgy, and kept the laughs moving forward as they used spontaneous creativity, rather than getting crass to get... More

It's so hard to find reasonably priced entertainment in NY. The PIT was a great find, saw Political Subversities for $11. The group is young, has clever sketches and it's just a delight. As a bonus, they had other groups performing briefly who were also great. Awesome singing also. Will definitely come again to enjoy the talent and creativity.

Last night was my first visit to the Pit. When I arrived, I was told that there were two shows that were about to start. One was stand up comedy, while the other was supposed to be a mix of stand up, sketch, and improve (according to the very nice woman who sold me the ticket). I went with the... More

I brought a group of over a dozen teenagers to two evening shows. Most (adult) customers gather in the loud, lively bar on the ground floor, but there is great diner/hamburger/milkshake place right around the corner for younger groups. This place is less than 2 blocks from the Subway, and easy to find at night due to the red neon... More
