I have been to many shows in NYC, this show, although I did laugh quite a few times, Is an absolute waste of ALOT of money,! The acting was very good, but as a whole very disappointing compared to the hype and Anticipation of some really clever humor.... Skip it altogether...!!!!!!

As Lisa B. says in her review, "do your homework." I'm amazed at the reviews where the writer says "I was shocked by the story content and language and walked out.." The show was written by the South Park boys, you shouldn't expect "The Sound of Music" But knowing that, and if you can understand a concept called "satire" you... More

Bawdy, raunchy, and edgy. These are words that could describe the Broadway show, Book of Mormon. It is an odd concept for a musical and the tickets are outrageously expensive. Anyone thinking of shelling out over $250 per ticket should really understand what they are getting into. If you don't mind offensive language and subject matter you will find it... More

This is a review of the standing room only ticket process. Tickets were $27 and you are allowed up to 2 tickets person. I arrived at 8AM on a Saturday morning in June and was first in line for the standing room tickets. Don't stand right next to the doors. Rather, look for the exterior ticket window and stand/sit in... More

We had to buy the tickets 7 months in advance, and we talked about it for 1.5 years before we bought the tickets...but it was worth the wait! What a clever, funny, entertaining show this is! Definitely one for the history books, and not to be missed. So creative and hilarious.

I have seen many Broadway Musicals & this was by far the most disturbing musical ever. I did not find it humorous at all & was disheartened by all the religious bashing. The extensive profanity & sexuality went beyond pushing the envelope & went right to ripping it open. I did not find it entertaining & I left the show... More

This Musical/Comedy was highly recommended by a couple people we know, so we went in with reasonably high expectations ... sorry to report I found it very disappointing - I would rank it a one (terrible) ... my wife would probably rate it a three (average minus) so marked it two (poor). Some of the folks around us seem to... More

Overall great show. Written by the writers of South Park . Some risque and some adolescent humour. Don't go if you are easily offended. The first half was a little slow but the second half was really good. We bought cheap seats and had a great view of the stage Has just won 8 Tony awards.

It was my first time to go and see a Musical in Broadway and i was so looking forward it...But i left the theatre very perplexed and confused. I'm not religion devout at all and never go to the church but i tought it was very offending and did not understand why it was so funny. I usually laugh for... More

It is one of the best musicals I have ever seen. I am not a South Park fan and from the name I did not know what to expect, but the play is simply great. It presents religion, not just the Mormons, in a sarcastic, comic and modern way. Its fresh approach and irreverence is welcome in a theme that... More
