Loved the opening number but downhill all the way after that. I couldn't work out why everyone was laughing throughout, the humor is vaguely crude (not a problem for me) but just not very funny. The story line is extremely childish and the music is Broadway standard. To call this the best musical of all time is funnier than any... More

I would highly recommend this play, however, if you are adverse to swearing, sexual innuendo, pushing the boundaries...do NOT see this play. Our son is a mature 12, and while we were ok with the foul language and 80% of the... More

This musical was hilarious!!! I can see why it won so many awards!!! I laughed from the minute the show started until it ended!!! The Eugene O'Neill Theatre was intimate and beautiful...every seat was good! The bonus of the show was that Ben Platt ( of Pitch Perfect) fame was part of the cast as Elder Cunningham and he was... I must admit that I am not a fan of musicals. I bought tickets for this one just because it was written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. I had very low expectation for the show, but it turned out that it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. However, it’s not for everyone. If you are easily offended... More

would never have seen this if my son had not told me that the Mormons he works with said it was a good show to see. Phew. not at all politically correct and those that do not like four letter words beware but we loved it.

If you went to this show and didn't enjoy yourself, like a few reviewers I've seen, you really only have yourself to blame. If you're familiar with South Park, Trey Parker, or Matt Stone in any way, the feel/style of this show should be exactly what you're expecting. And the chances of you just happening upon The Book of Mormon... More
