I visited the WTC memorial yesterday and was disapointed with it. First of all you cant just "walk in" to the memorial. My first thought was to follow may way to the base of the new WTC building only to find that I had to walk 2 block to the memorial center to get a free ticket. Once you get... More

The memorial is a true monument and a must see. It's a little overwhelming at times but inspirational in how the community has recovered and continues to honor those affected. More

If you only go one place in New York city this has to be it. Anyone who witnessed the horror of 911 will be powerfully moved. The roar of the water rushing into the former foundations of the WTC reminded me not only of an enormous waterfall but of how the buildings might have sounded as they came crashing down.... More

The WTC Memorial is a national treasure. The elegantly simple design, the beautiful bottomless fountains and the treed grounds all come together to produce a memorial worthy of those whose lives were so tragically lost. More

We had a booking for the World Trade Centre Walking Tour on Tuesday May 15 at 2:30pm booked through Viator and it was fabulous. My apologies as I can not remember our guides name but he was great. He combined the tour with photos and stories he had put together on his ipad and it really gave us an insight... More

Although I wasn't personally affected (any more than the rest of this who watched from afar) I had always wanted to see the site, particularly after the memorials were built. It did not disappoint. The weather was very cooperative (Easter Sunday, as it happened) and that made the whole thing of rebirth more real. The pools, architecture and most especially... More

The tour with two fireman who were there was the most moving experience. You did not need to see just to hear what they had to say. Two very special men, I know what is meant by the expression "Americas Finest" now. The tour lasts ninety minutes and if you do nothing else in NY go there. Tour is available... More

Simple structures are the memorials but the names on them still remind us of this senseless tragedy. The grounds are immaculate. Not a stone or mulch chip out of place. Guards/ police were plentiful but not distracting. There is still lots of construction around , including the museum, To get in you MUST order a pass ahead of time. They snake... More
