My husband and I had a lovely stroll The Village, and acquired some history in the process. Amada was our guide and shared some fun stories, hauntings and history. We will repeat a trip to area and hope to visit some of Amada's recommendations.

This tour did not involve going into any "haunted" structures but was mainly an outside walking tour. It may be better for people who are not interested in getting really scared, but enjoy listening to some historically-backed ghost stories. I have no regrets; it was a fun way to get to know this part of the city.

Me and my fiancé enjoyed the Greenwich Village ghost tour. Our tour guide was Amada Anderson. She really made the tour fun and enjoyable. We saw a ton of historic landmarks and learned a lot in the process. We loved seeing Mark Twains home. The tour was 2 hours long filled with a ton of great facts and interesting facts... More

I had a lot of fun on our tour. It was the Poe tour in Greenwich village with tour guide andy. The guide was great! Laid back and informative. I'd recommend it for individuals looking for something to do late night in NYC. But be warned, there's more history tid bits than any ghost sightings.

We really enjoyed our tour. We did a ghost tour of Greenwich Village. The tour guide was very laid back and told interesting stories. It was cool to hear local history and be entertained by a gifted storyteller. I would definitely recommend it.

I did the ultimate 3 hour ghost walk, our guide spoke in the quietest monotone voice, with all the New York traffic and people on the streets it was almost impossible to hear what he was saying. The bits I did hear were boring and were historical rather than spooky or scary

This was the biggest waste of my money and time. I felt as though I was back in high school math class - so boring! Perhaps other tour guides are better, but i wouldn't waste my time to find out.

Do not expect any hair-raising experiences. It is more of a history of the area with some nice anecdotes about Poe. Interesting "facts". One of the high-lights for me was seeing the oldest tree in Manhattan. It is HUGE!

The tour guide stayed in character (Mrs. Stuyvesant) the entire tour. She was very informative and my group had a blast.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
