This is the best consignment store in NYC - probably in the tri-state area. The ladies that run Michael's know their stuff. You never have to worry about buying junk or a clever copy here. At different times I have purchased Hermes scarves, Chanel suit, jewelry, shoes, handbags - everything looks great. If you know what you are doing this... More

Every time you go it's a different selection so always fun. My girlfriends and I consider it a treasure hunt. Great finds with very reasonable prices. All very organized and the staff is very helpful.

I sought out this fantastic place in the Upper East Side on some research I did for the best consignment stores in New York. This one is the best. Beautifully laid out and it has the absolute top of the range items. Being a staple of the Upper East Side for about 50 years, I'm sure you can imagine the... More

What a well-maintained, terrific shop! Thanks to a lovely employee, Mary, I found the perfect pair of shoes at a steal. For sure I'll be back! :) If you're looking for absolutely great condition shoes from Chanel, Gucci, Prada, and other top designers, look no further. And I have big feet - there was a HUGE size range. I had... More

Great consignment store, fun place to shop. Also to take your own unwanted things. All kinds of things to buy, from bags to jewelry to clothes.

I was told to go here by a friend who shops at Michael's every time she is in the city and I can see why. The clothes are in fabulous condition and you can get Manolo's for $125!

I tried on several items, but in the end found a very cute pair of Gucci sandals. Paid $150.00 which I felt was fair price and a deal for very current style that would have been $300 in department store. Michael's has a great selection and store is large with 2 floors of merchandise. Organized very well too for consignment... More

Every time that I visit New York City, I go to Michael's. And, every time that I go, I find amazing clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry too. You cannot beat the prices. All of the merchandise is in excellent condition - and some has never been worn before. I got a beautiful St. John dress there for only a few... More

I am a first-time bride with no girlie skills. I want a hassle free wedding just like the next bride. I was told that Michael's is a great little shop to get what you need. However, you will not get this at Michael's. I called them to make an appointment - which they said I did not have to do.... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
