It's easy to lose track of time in this store. Take the time to visit the basement and their half off section. It's a must see. In an era where brick and mortar bookstores are closing left and right, it's great to see this store still stands.

Went to the bookshop upon recommendation from my friend and was totally in awe. they have an amazing selection of books and I spent an entire day there. at every corner, there was always something new and amazing to read about. love the shop's decoration and quotes on magnets too. left the shop with two heavy bags and broke. I’ve shopped here a few times, the most recent last week. It is a very large bookstore over several floors chock full of interesting titles you don’t usually see in the national book chains. Its row upon row of art books covering every possible topic and genre is of particular excellence. Worth an hour (or perhaps more) to browse the... More

Great place to browse for some new reads. Miles of books at awesome prices. The old library feel with a great selection of new releases and out-of-prints makes every visit worth it!

The most amazing book store! Huge - and inviting -unlike any of the chain stores ever were. The variety of titles is endless- and you can wander 2 floors for hours. My husband has finally admitted that he will never be able to read all the books he has gotten there - but that never stops us from going. A... More

It's crowded and not well laid out and not fun to browse. You're constantly moving out of the way for the many staff who work there who seem to be required to walk around, but are most friendly with each other, not the customer. Tried to like this place twice, probably won't go back, just not enough space to relax... More

It's a mess. A lot of goods, all over the place. Books, cds, magazines... But that's what makes the place a special one. There are new and uses stuffs. / É uma bagunça. Muitos produtos, todos espalhados. Livros, CDs, revistas... Mas isso é o que faz o lugar interessante. Há coisas novas e usadas.

A pang of love and nostalgia hits you as you eye the rows upon rows of books. It is big. It is not like the commercial book stores with pretty books and pretty carpeting. It is a proper book store, the kinds you went to when you were really small. It has LOTS of books. And a whole lot which... More

So huge. So amazing. It's been 24 hours and I'm still in awe. Visit The Strand, you wont regret it. (plus, the books are cheaper! And they have almost every book!!)
