I am no Miranda Priestly. That's why I use personal shoppers. I'm sorry to report that my recent experience with the At Your Service department at Bloomingdale's never had a chance to break my budget, because it broke my spirit first. Dressed casually, I arrived a day in advance to make an appointment. The receptionist greeting me warmly and professionally.... More

I had heard slot about Bloomingdales and was a tad disappointed when I got there. There's not a great range of things with Bloomingdales written on it for you to buy as a momento. The staff were helpful and I did find a few things. I would say Bloomingdales is more like Harvey Nichols in the UK and Macy's is... More

Better than most department stores with good choice of (non US) designers. It does not replace boutique shopping, but service, choice of brands and style make it my favorite in NYC. It lacks though on place tayloring of others.

While this department store seems a little more classier than Macys, it's just as big, and wonderful. Well, I love shopping, what can I say. All staff were very friendly, and bubbly. If you show your passport at the Information Desk you get a 10% off voucher to use on most products. We got the discount off watches, and a... More

The sales people in ladies departments are way too personal. I do not need to know their name, and I want no conversation about my life. In UK this would be offensive. However very good lunch in the cafe on top floor of Bloomingdales.

when you are new/touring a city and you love shopping, its always good to go somewhere you can get most of the shops in a roof. It was easy shopping for me and i enjoyed the setting and the structure

Hi guys, I just thought I would share my take on the Louis Vuitton stores nyc. Fifth avenue store don't waste your time, they are just plain rude. The ladies in Louis Vuitton in Bloomingdales are truly the best so friendly and helpful, and actually looked human and approachable. We had spent the day in Central Park so looked very... More

This is a great one-stop department store if you're tight on time and, like me, don't fancy trawling 5th Ave for what you're after. It's very big with lots of different mezzanine floors which can make finding what you're looking for tricky, and the escalators aren't always easy to find. That said, you can pick up a tourist discount card... More
