It's a wonderful day when you get to pop into Bloomingdale's and visit every floor and see Designer's clothes that you will not see at every other Department store. The sales people are exceptional, friendly and have a willingness to help with anything! The store has such a positive feel and an energy that is invigorating! After making our purchase,... More

Bloomingdales is such a wonderful department store. From the 1920s exterior to the tranquility of the glitz inside, it is somewhere everyone should visit at least once.

In New York one of the many places to visit. Ideal for my wife as she loves to shop or should I say browse in this instance. While she is shopping I enjoy people watching? Boy you certainly see some people! I enjoyed it to see how the other half live? A word of warning doesn't cater to well for... More

Very friendly knowledgeable staff, especially the ladies perfumery on the ground floor, a credit to their employer. Thank you very much for your kindness ladies.

I'm an Italian visitor to Bloomingdale's 59th Street store. I was there last July 14th, 2015, and I bought a sale item (Coach New York shoes) to be given to my niece for her 24th birthday. Having found the shoes I thought she liked, I told the shop assistant, a man, that I wanted a pair of them. After a... More

This store is amazing for their customer service. I also loved that they will ship your purchases home. There is also a subway stop in the bottom of the store. Amazing variety of items.

I prefer Bloomingdales to Macy's as I think it is easier better set out and easier to navigate. It also had better sales when we were there in June. There isn't much you can't buy here and if you are a Tourist, head to the Information desk to get your 10% discount card (which can be used in addition to... More

I live close to Bloomingdale's and I go there often. Very often I find a wonderful bargain on men's shirts, underwear, wallets, etc. They do lots of mark downs. Today I bought a beautiful shirt, Bloomingdale's brand. Had been really expensive but after a 50% reduction and several other reductions including one for using my Bloomingdale's card, I got the... Sometimes obviously a bit pricey, but I hit the summer sale and bought way too much! There's nothing you can't find here and they have my favorite designers, even the ones that other department stores don't. And I've never met anyone working here that wasn't extraordinary helpful!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
