I recommend to visit just to see where the rich people go shopping. If the money is burning in your pocket then you have access to all the world famous brands. You also get excellent service. But again, you pay for it! You can get a discount voucher with New York Pass.

This is a great place to go on a rainy/snowy day! It's very expansive and the service is wonderful! While most people probably cannot afford many of the brands in there (all designer!) they did have many sales and deals while I was there.

I don't understand the hype with this place I get better service at my local Debenhams. I needed assistance in the shoe department but the one available assistant was too busy having a chit-chat with her granny

I went here on the day of my sons wedding to kill time before the ceremony. I went to New York with two outfits for the day but ended up spotting a beautiful Calvin Klein dress while in the store. The prices over there are so good compared to the UK. I actually ended up buying a couple and wore... More

For those of you who haven't had the privilege of meeting Sandi and her assistant Adrienne at Bloomingdale's personal shopping - don't go any further til you do! My daughter and I had the extreme pleasure of working with both these fine ladies today while my daughter was searching for her grad dress. Sandi and Adrienne took all the stress... More

I don't like pushy sales people, and that's what Bloomingdales is all about. If you visit any cosmetic counter be aware of someone following you and bothering you. Very unprofessional and annoying especially if you are trying to look at something and you have someone hovering over you.

For me this is the absolute Mecca for shopping in New York. If you have the money you can have the best shopping day of your life at Bloomingdales. Its all here: the mid-level designers, the top-level designers, ALL the jeans, the bags, the coats, everything that you see in the magazines is here, everything you could possibly want. The... More

Yep another pretentious store in NYC,all you see is tourists buying the famous brown bags or big brown mugs. The store is crowded with tutting tourists or store colleagues who either ignore you or pounce on you if you dare touch the stock,I practically enjoyed being followed by security over two floors, clearly having a rucksack on isn't suitable for this... Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
