Excellent albeit Expensive Swiss Chocolate

Tiny, tight store in Rockefeller Center has adorable holiday decorations and delicious chocolates but they are pricey. Children will love the Easter and Christmas edible decor.

This place is a HAVE TO go in New York City. Although their store is a tight space for a lot of people, their chocolates are absolutely WONDERFUL. I always get a solid chocolate animal, whether it's dark, milk, or white chocolate. Then I tried a Hazelnut Praline Log today, and it was delightful with hints of hazelnut as you... More

If you are looking for a fun place with amazing window displays, this is it! The champagne truffles were amazing, too. I could not believe how incredible the Valentine's Day display was. Beautiful gilded gold and red rose floral vines run the length of the tiny storefront along the ceiling and the windows are full of the most voluptuous and... More

At $110.00 per pound one would expect a spectacular mouth experience. Not so with these bites of chocolate. Dry, lacking the opulent silky smoothness of ganache, this was a disappointment that was a depressing moment in an otherwise great day in Manhattan. Look for decadence elsewhere, may be Maison chocolate on Madison Avenue.

Teuscher chocolates are truly some of the best in the country. Flown in fresh weekly from Switzerland (twice a week in December), they are truly special and diverse. The many seasonal candy boxes make great gifts for any occasion, especially Christmas & Easter. TIP: The chocolate is around $112/pound, so be careful when you start to order. 4-5 small pieces... Anytime I am in NYC, I always make a stop at Teuschers to pick up some champagne and nougat truffles. Very good quality chocolate.

The chocolate is really good. We sampled several different ones. Our absolute favorite was the chocolate covered orange rind. It was very flavorful. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed looking at all of the creative ways chocolate is presented. The chocolate was sold by the pound and pricey. If you aren't careful you could end up with more than you... More

My 18 yo daughter was happy to visit this shop again; when she was 9yo she first visited NYC and could choose chocolates here as her treat. Pricey but a special treat!

Sure, the chocolate is good but not for that price. The store is beautiful and had nice gift ideas. Next time I am in Switzerland I'll be sure to buy some there but there are so many places to get really good chocolate that doesn't cost quite so much.

I've been there twice and if you want to treat yourself go there but be expected to pay a lot, also for two small chocolates, I bought 2 chocolates, really small and light the first visit and I paid $7 and I bought four chocolates on my second visit and I paid $13. You pay what you get. The dark... More
