We got to see everything light up for Christmas. I recommend going later in the evening as the crowds are less. Be patient to get the photo you want and be prepared to be bumped in to almost constantly. Totally worthwhile!

My wife always enjoys seeing the latest looks in the designer showcase on the second floor - Akris, Max Mara, Piazza Sempione, and more!

This store sells those high end products you know you want and will love forever. I had amazing service from a woman in perfumes. I did not get the same from the girl in accessories who was grumpy that I tried on glasses and did not buy any. If you have the money, and lots of it, this is a... More

Fabulous store, has everything money can buy. Before visit I had tried all over the UK for some Bella 100 Laboutin boots and couldn't get them anywhere. Soon as I walked into the Laboutin area I saw them and asked the sales assistant if they had them in my size and he straight away said yes, we had some in... More

Made the mistake of walking past here on our first night in New York. Got stuck in a stampede of families trying to see the Christmas display on the front wall of Saks. Pick your time carefully if you want to see it and not step on a child by accident. Window displays however are amazing, as are most down... More

One of our favourite things to do in New York City during the holiday season is to see the decorative and festive show window displays found around the city. Saks Fifth Avenue is a great venue for Christmas window displays. This year, Saks held the Enchanted Experience Holiday Window Display, featuring fairy tale scenes with a NYC twist. These were... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
