Saks Fifth Avenue is an iconic store and has a huge selection of designer high end brands. You are more likely to find your favourite designer pieces here than in the company owned stand alone stores. So in that way they are well stocked.I love it!

The elevators are very nice and everyone is really helpful. In the kids section they always have a dress I like and the styles are all up to date. The shoes are very nice but they don't have many shoe sizes for Tweens like me. The cafe is also very good. I would recommend the tomato soup because it is... More

Be prepared to be completely ignored and given dirty looks if the staff do not deem you rich enough. Our worst experience was on the men's floor, we were completely ignored and the staff basically stared at us as if we were going to steal something. Not only this but were actually looking at shirts to buy and they paid... More

Obviously not for the average person overpriced goods and surly staff who seem intolerant of tourists the only good thing was the beautiful widow displays

You should stop by and see it but know that you will likely not be able to afford anything in the store. Its iconic; leave it at that.

Lots of staff to ignore most visitors. Hard to beleive people pay that much for crap. Most of the stuff is hideous and do you really think it looks good. Have a look in the mirror before you go out.

Visited Saks Fifth Avenue during my recent trip to New York City. A haven for all shopaholics, this place will make you shop till you drop (or till you run out of cash - whatever comes first - or both!). Perfectly located on Fifth Avenue, this is another New York icon - instantly ecognisable all over the world. Recommended.

Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City is everything you think it would be. Saks Fifth Avenue is a high end department store and a mirror reflection of Manhattan. You mainly visit here for shopping, but my crew and I decided to wander around this historic store and admire the architecture and layout. Overall, our travel to Saks Fifth Avenue... More

My mother recently went into Saks during a frequent business trip to NYC. She is a frequent purchaser at Saks, often spending $4,000+ on brands like St. John. During this trip, she asked for her clothes to be held until the sale date and then shipped to her address. The man helping her, Mr. Luco, agreed to do this and... More

Beautiful store; I spend most of my time in the fragrance/cosmetics area and I'm never disappointed. The Elie Tahari area is one of my favs when it comes to clothing.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
