I thought this place would have deep discounts, not so. Some items are still expensive (to me at least: $100++), but you can find some deals on other items you would've paid more for (like purses, $20, costume jewlery $6-20+, etc). All in all, the fact that you got it "in New York" makes is a good deal I suppose.... more

Definitely the best of the discount stores in NYC - the shoe department is a particular favourite of mine more

For those of you who are from Canada, it's like Winners on Steroids. From the US, it's like JC Penny on Steroids. Wow, the best and cheapest chopping I have seen in a long time. But be carefull and it is very busy. If you are the slightest Claustrophobic or Sociophobic stay away. But waw this place is probably the... more

Century 21's original location (right across from WTC site) is the one I visited. I wasn't sure what to expect, and had heard horror stories about the crowds. I went on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was crowded, but the clothes were separated by type and size, so it was easy to narrow in on what I... more

If you are in a shopping mood and have extra time to spend, then be sure to visit Century 21 Dept store...the Manhattan location (across the street from the WTC) has several floors and a whole store for just shoes. I went there four times during my visit to NYC and found something everytime! It's like a 4-story TJ Maxx/Marshalls.... more

My first experience at century21 store was terrible. Staff was Terrible. First of all, whole system is designed to trap customer in to buying something and grabbing money without any regard to customer satisfaction. I was on weekend and they did not even have trial rooms - just think if it fits and buy it. No trials. and then if... more

We went to Century City after reading about it in a New York guide. There are bargains to be had if you think a coat at $249 is a bargain....but if you are brand conscious and prepared to bump into people left right and centre and find a bargain to suit you then sure, go to this vastly overhyped place.... more

I visited Century 21 on a Tuesday. Stayed about 1.5 hours. Found a lovely dress by JAX (never heard of them) but it fitted perfectly and cost $70 - when I looked it up online it was about $200. Also found a DKNY purse for $25. I was lucky to find these items quickly. I don't think I could have... more

This store is located just opposite ground zero. It has lots of bargins, Watches, handbags, purses and lots of clothing. The handbags were a big hit for me, they have every brand under the sun, and was the cheapest place i found for the GUESS brand, i was in heaven. The shop is packed with people all day long, no... more

Sitting right across from ground zero in NYC is a bargain hunters dream store. This place is huge and can be overwhelming but if you are ready to battle the crowds and dig through rack after rack of everything from clothes to housewares, this can be the place to find the best name brands at almost half the cost. The... more
