We took two walking tours with Max from City Rover Walks: the first was of Central Park, on a glorious Fall afternoon, and the second was of the Downtown area (the tour was called "Behind the Wall") on a rainy, windy day. Regardless of the weather, the tours were well run, highly informative, interesting and entertaining. Each tour lasted around... More

My friend Janette and I did the City of Dreams tour this weekend with Danielle and had a terrific time. Danielle was lively, fun, bubbly, interesting and so enthusiastic about her subject, it was a pleasure to spend the time with her. The history of the area comes alive with the stories of the people who lived in that part... More

We booked with CityRover Walks after reviewing a few of the tour websites and contacting Max. As we were travelling with 2 young boys, aged 9 & 6 we wanted a private tour and Max came up with a perfect tour so we saw everything we wanted to see including Grand Central Station, Public Liabrary, Rockafella Centre, Brooklyn Bridge and... We booked the Landmark Explorer tour at the start of our 3 day short break to New York - family of 6 with 4 teenager/young adults. We wanted to get a feel for midtown Manhattan with more than just photo opportunities and that was what Rodney delivered. We learnt a lot about the history and architecture of the great buildings... My wife and I with our 4 and 6 year old kids took a private tour with Max. We emailed the sites we wanted to see and Max came up with a awesome plan to see everything we wanted to see including a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, seeing the city from The Top of the Rock, seeing Central Park... More

My family and I went on a tour with Max as our guide. He was very informative and interesting and even my two teenage daughters enjoyed it (one even said she loved it) which is saying something. My other daughter says that even if you lived in New York you'd still learn something new and interesting. Max tells you facts... More

My mom and I have been on a few of tours with CityRovers, and this one was just as great as the others. This time we went on the Landmark Explorer tour. Our tour guide Rodney really knews his history! We learned so much and had a great time in the process. We learned about many of the major landmarks... More

Max gave a private tour of the Chelsea Market, the High Line Park, Brooklyn Bridge/Brooklyn area and other nearby sights to our family of three, including a teenage daughter. Max's tour was our teen's favorite -- quite significant since she isn't easy to please on tours taking on educational characteristics. And we were very impressed at the exceptional quality and... If you have read the other reviews, then this one will just confirm what they've said. This is a super activity to do while in NYC and very reasonably priced for 3 hours + tour and the quality of it. My sister had done the Central Park walking tour previously and loved it. This time we did the Village Sampler... More

Even though the temperatures were freezing, we really enjoyed our walk with Max. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of our surroundings. He made the experience so much fun and educational at the same time. I would highly recommend this tour or any of his tours. He's amazing!
