The Manhattan tour was great! Anna was our tour guide, and she was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We had a wonderful time. The best thing was traveling with a small group on the small bus. We got to see parts of the city, and learn things about the city that we wouldnt have if not for the tour. Thanks... More

During our recent visit my wife and i and some family were introduced to Gray Line NY Sightseeing and decided to give it a try, being of an age where a certain amount of walking soon becomes enough.Their agents are easy to find in Manhattan, being the guys hanging out on street corners in red jackets. The company operates several tours using open... We were advised by our travel agent to take the Gray Line 8 hour Manhattan tour in a smaller Sprinter van and it was great advice. The van was comfortable and about 10 passengers, so we could really travel around and quickly get on and off. Our guide, David, was entertaining and knowledgeable and really knew NYC. The tour included... More

As a couple we decided to take a tour of NYC. The tour guide Raymond was a young man who was knowledgeable about the city and history. We saw so much of the city and sights that we never would have experienced on our own. This tour provided a full day of getting to know NYC. I would recommend it... More

Very informative and fun way to tour NYC, hop on/off the bus at any of its many stops to see in more detail what was talked about.

We took the Brooklyn tour as the Gray line seems to do the most extensive tour of Brooklyn. We were told early on that the maps were useless and that the stops were no where near those indicated on the map. So we happily got off outside the botanical gardens so we could go through Prosepect Park (which is lovely... More

We did Uptown, Downtown & Brooklyn tours. The first guide we got could not be understood and we thought the worst. Then we got JJ who was a star. Very informative and brought everything to life. We then got "Alfred" who said he was our butler and referred to his previous boss, Bruce Wayne. A terrific guide who had us... More

We booked before visiting and had to pick up tickets at Madame Tussaud's. No clear sign as to which queue to join and very noisy so difficult to hear instructions. We had purchased a package which included The Rock, Liberty Island, Ellis Island, Hop on Ferry and evening Tour. Instead of individual tickets for each venue, we were given 2... More

This was my 4th trip to NY and second time I've bought Gray Line tickets, we just got back yesterday. I'm surprised to read all the negativity here, our experience of the Gray Line Hop On/Hop Off buses was beyond our expectations. Every guide is different and brings something new to the tour. The on-street seller recommended the perfect option... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
