City Running Tours is a team of running enthusiasts that provides an opportunity to experience a city in an exciting way. We connect with like minded people from all over the world because of our passion for running as well as the city we call home. Through this reward, we are able to showcase the history and culture of a city while promoting a healthy lifestyle, instilling self confidence and making people feel like themselves. Ideal for the business traveler who is tired of the hotel treadmill, the marathon runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who wants to explore new and interesting routes, City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized runs to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks. These runs are personal so it will be the running guide along with the registered clients. We can go further than a walking tour, as far as a bus tour and on the roads that most buses and segways are unable to.At City Running Tours our goal is to shape each tour based on our client's needs both as a runner and a tourist and because of this, they love the intimacy, breadth of knowledge, and the unique and local perspective that our running tours offer. Our clients experience a city at street level through the eyes and legs of someone who works, plays and runs in that city. Share your love of running with us as we share our city with you!

I booked a 5 mile running tour of Central Park for my first day in the city. I chose the personalized run option so I could be met at my hotel - which seemed easier than having to travel somewhere to met the tour. The run was awesome and Alana, was absolutely fantastic! It was such a great way to... More

I did a 5 mi personalized tour in Central Park, and it was great. Jillian was super knowledgeable and easy to hang out and to run with. CRT was incredibly flexible and did a perfect job organizing the details. I will definitely book another tour next time I'm in the city. I've done several running tours across the country and... I took a 5 mile private run on Sunday July 30. I was contacted twice by email to go over details. I asked for 5 miles. They felt the most scenic route was closer to 5.5 miles from my hotel and asked if I was ok with that and there would be no extra charge! How could I say no... More

We did the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and Village running tours and had a great time. Our tour guides were excellent and pointed out many interesting sights. The tours started at 7 am which allows you to avoid the crowds. I highly recommend it.

Highly recommended! We had a great time on our Brooklyn Bridge running tour! Brett was an excellent guide, providing us with lots of information, taking photos and even carrying a bottle of water for each of us - and most importantly, spreading a cheerful mood - which made this tour a truely wonderful experience! Thank you!

I ran with a guide from City running tours on the 18th of august. I was the only runner that day so I had the privilege of a solo tour. We ran in my own pace for about 8km around Time Square while all the way things were explained. I saw some views of the city that I did not... More

We did a 12 mile tour and it was absolutely fabulous! We were lucky enough to have Coleman as our guide and he could not have been better - he was very interesting, knew a lot about the city and made it a vey fun, relaxed experience. He ran at our pace and we had lots of opportunities for photos.... More

We did the running tour that started at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge (Manhattan side) and was called the Brooklyn Bridge running tour. While we could have just done this by ourselves, running with Brett and Sara really added to the experience. Brett was an excellent guide and had an amazing amount of information he could share with us... More

I'm currently training for a half marathon, so I did a 7 mile tour tonight around NYC with the coolest guide, Brett, tonight. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the city, and taught me so much about this gorgeous city as we did our run. It was like the best history and PE lesson rolled into one! Plus,... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
