We connect with like minded people from all over the world because of our passion for running as well as the city we call home. Through this reward, we are able to showcase the history and culture of a city while promoting a healthy lifestyle, instilling self confidence and making people feel like themselves. Ideal for the business traveler who is tired of the hotel treadmill, the marathon runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who wants to explore new and interesting routes, City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized runs to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks. These runs are personal so it will be the running guide along with the registered clients. We can go further than a walking tour, as far as a bus tour and on the roads that most buses and segways are unable to.At City Running Tours our goal is to shape each tour based on our client's needs both as a runner and a tourist and because of this, they love the intimacy, breadth of knowledge, and the unique and local perspective that our running tours offer. Our clients experience a city at street level through the eyes and legs of someone who works, plays and runs in that city. Share your love of running with us as we share our city with you! « less

Coleman is a great guide. He knows a lot about the city and has enough patient to follow my slow pace :) Highly recommended!

My tour guide picked me up from the hotel, took me on the subway and then we ran back into Manhattan from Brooklyn. I was able to see all of the attractions without planning any logistics and my guide gave me fun facts about NYC as we ran. My guide also emailed me after the run with directions to Broadway... More

Great run! Coleman was our guide. He was fantastic. He kept a good pace and knew a great deal about the areas through which we ran. I would highly recommend. Well worth the cost!

This is a seriously fun run. Start at the Brooklyn Brewery, go for a 5 mile run , end at the Brewery and have a beer! Jen was our tour guide and was fantastic. She kept a good pace and had excellent knowledge of the area;not to mention she was very friendly and brought water for everyone. Definitely one of... More

My friend came to visit and we decided to do the run together. It was one of the best parts of his trip here. There were facts about Brooklyn that even I did not know, the route was great with excellent scenery, and the group was diverse and laidback. We hung out for over an hour at Brooklyn Brewery afterwards,... More

What could be better? Log your miles in an unfamiliar city (NYC), without worrying about getting lost, focus on what you are seeing rather than street names (to keep on route), get informed information on sites and buildings etc. that you are passing, and get insights into the city and Central Park (in particular) that you wouldn't otherwise hear. Coleman... More

We booked a private tour of Harlem for 4 of us. We had a great time. We didn't know Harlem was so hilly but we survived. Our tour guide was informative. I wish she would have taken more pictures but she did take any that we asked her to take. When we have done these in the past, the guides... More

I had a great time running at the Central Park. The insights given by Rebecca helped me to enjoy the rest of my stay in NYC and further explore the Central Park. If I have the time, in my next trip, I will try to make the Brooklin Bridge...

We met Coleman near the entry of the Brooklyn bridge. He was an excellent tour guide. We had a wonderful time running across Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. We loved each of the streets/areas we ran/toured through. Photos opportunities were excellent. We would totally recommend this running tour.

We actually called and did a private tour bc the set tours did not work with our schedule. Jenn met my husband and I at our hotel in the rain! We didn't want to cancel and it was light rain. It was a blast bc the streets were empty, especially the bridges! I try to get up to NYC at... More
