Owner description: City Running Tours is a team of running enthusiasts that provides an opportunity to experience a city in an exciting way. We connect with like minded people from all over the world because of our passion for running as well as the city we call home. Through this reward, we are able to showcase the history and culture of a city while promoting a healthy lifestyle, instilling self confidence and making people feel like themselves. Ideal for the business traveler who is tired of the hotel treadmill, the marathon runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who wants to explore new and interesting routes, City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized runs to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks. These runs are personal so it will be the running guide along with the registered clients. We can go further than a walking tour, as far as a bus tour and on the roads that most buses and segways are unable to.At City Running Tours our goal is to shape each tour based on our client's needs both as a runner and a tourist and because of this, they love the intimacy, breadth of knowledge, and the unique and local perspective that our running tours offer. Our clients experience a city at street level through the eyes and legs of someone who works, plays and runs in that city. Share your love of running with us as we share our city with you!

I have been lucky enough to do two tours with City Running Tours and they have both been excellent. My guide, Coleman, was extremely knowledgeable and put up with all my questions! He paced the running just right - we covered a lot of ground, though. I highly recommend these tours.

I sent a group of 4 guests to do a private central park running tour, it was my first time using the service and I was thoroughly impressed and my guests loved it! Personalized run through central park, he even took photos and sent them to the guest to have memories of their run! Had water for them. And great... More

I did the Brooklyn Brewery Run with Brett and was so thrilled that I did it. Brett was great at changing to any pace we wanted, happy to chat about the history of the place or anything else, and have a few beers with you afterwards! The customer service overall was great and very personal. Wish I'd had time to... More

Great running tour around Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Start at The Brooklyn Brewery then head south the east river. Brett, the running guide set a good pace and stopped at interesting spots. Good knowledge of the area. Would recommend for groups or singles looking for a fun running partner in New York.

I was on a 5-day break in NYC with family and wanted to get a few runs in to explore the city. I booked a private guided run at 6am - a route of 9 miles from Brooklyn up through Manhattan. Coleman met me at my hotel and we took the subway to the start in DUMBO. Coleman was a... More

We had a great run on Roosevelt Island and saw a part of the city we never new existed before! Our guide, Brett, was easy-going, friendly, and ran just at our pace. I wish we had time for more tours!

Absolutely a must! As a female runner not familiar with Central Park, this was fantastic. Ask for Coleman. He was patient with my abilities (I do a 10-11 minute mile due to multiple knee surgeries) and had so much NYC and Central Park knowledge without being pompous. He brought a small backpack so he carried my phone and hotel key... More

We were thinking that this kind of activity was for the super fit athletes only, but your guides were clever adapting the speed to our level. If you ever think about getting a guide showing NY from a slightly different angel - just make a reservation with this company! We loved the experience; The guide Alex (he was very knowledgeable),... I was the only runner for the Bridge tour which was a pity as it would have been good to meet other visitors, but I still had a great run. Jill was very knowledgeable and was fit enough to rattle-off an impressive list of facts and dates without pausing for breath during the run. Thankfully she didn't expect as much... More

I wanted to tour Central Park in New York in a different way. What better way than to see the Park while running at the same time! My guide, Jill, from City Running Tours was amazing. The forecast was light rain, which meant fewer tourists in the park. Jill was extremely knowledgeable of the park and the surrounding buildings. She... More
