After reading reviews on the water taxi services we picked NT water taxi. This leaves from pier 79 and makes six stops. You can get off/on at any of the 6 stops. The guides we had on 3 different ferries were all great with their knowledge. We weren't hassled for pictures or tips.

Was considering a 4 star as it is a little on the expensive side at $30, but having seen others talking about the $ 17 Groupon option then it's my fault for not checking. Otherwise this is an excellent way to tour mid/ lower Manhattan, hopping on and off as you please. The guide is excellent and very entertaining. We... More

We got the water taxi not really sure what we were getting. It was fantastic. A really great tour guide with loads of info and facts for us. Some great tips for food and things to do. Luckily we were in town for a good few days so didn't rush through the hop on hop off options. A fantastic thing... More

We used our New York Pass to obtain our water taxi tickets. We caught the 10am from Pier 79 on 39th. It was easy to find & we ran as we thought we were late. However the lady on the ticket desk kindly radioed the boat and asked them to wait for us! There was a full bar on board... More

This was a great way to get around the city. Avoid the traffic on land and enjoy the boat and breeze from the water. Had 6 stops, buy a day pass to hop on/off. Great onboard crew with lots of city knowledge. Awesome view of the statue of liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. .. kids loved it.

I loved this hop on, hop off boat tour so much I went around one and a half times! It gives you a great, close-up view of the Statue of Liberty (doesn't take you to the island though) and Brooklyn bridge and great views of Manhattan. I loved that you could hop off at any of the stops and hop... More

A very convenient way to get around the city and even over to Brooklyn. We rode it straight through to get in the entire tour which was about 1-1/2 hr then used it as a taxi to Brooklyn. The best views of the statute of liberty.

This was a great way to see Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Statue of Liberty. It makes 6 stops that you can get off. Taxis stop every 30 hours. Runs during daylight hours. Too bad it does not run until dusk. JOE was a well qualified and professional tour speaker about the area. He even gave us hints on were to visit... More

Whilst in NYC we were keen to get some good photos of the statue of liberty, and with an explorer pass, we had access to a couple - originally planned to use a designated liberty cruise. Due to timings and other factors, we ended up using the water taxi instead, and it was the best decision we've ever made! Hopped... More
