My teenage daughter and I joined as a "couples" team, and this was one of the great highlights of our two weeks in NY. You learn the basics, everything from how to make and form an excellent yeast-based dough, when ingredients go on for best flavor, and how to use (previously intimidating) pizza contraptions such as stone and peel. I'm... More

Mark and Neil did a masterful job. The teaching was simple, yet brilliant. The atmosphere was pleasant and the pizza was delicious. Even for folks that know how to make pizza from scratch, they will learn so many nuances to better their pizza. And for beginners, it's probably like magic. Highly recommended, especially with someone else.

Came here for a fun team building activity for work and every one really enjoyed themselves. The school provided drinks and all materials, samples of all the pizzas prior to the class beginning and made it really fun to learn how to make your own pizza. I would do this again.

I wanted to do something very unique in New York, and I love to cook. Mark, Jenny & Max are a wonderful group of people that are helpful, compelling and are great supportive teachers. It was true pizza making experience, hands on with great tips, tools to purchase, and booklet to take home. The experience was Fantastic!

I am not a foodie, nor have I ever taken a cooking class before. I was a little skeptical about spending four hours around hot ovens on a summer day in New York City, but I'm very glad I did. The staff teaches you how to make a top-notch thin crust pizza that is better than all but a handful... More

My husband and I had a great date night there last night. First of all, we love to cook and have taken cooking classes all over the world. Neal, Topi and Ryan held up the standards of a first class teaching kitchen. But, oh what fun! The wine flowed and as did the amazing pizza. The shocker, we can actually... More

Went here last night for a finale of our week-long honeymoon. Easily the neatest thing we did in New York. Go to this class hungry - you will have PLENTY to eat! And count on the class lasting 4 hours or maybe a bit longer. I'm not a cook but everything was laid out very simply. I was very very... More

This pizza making school was soooo much fun. My kids 14 and 12 had a brilliant time making 4 pizzas from scratch. We learned a lot and now know that you can make super pizza in a normal oven 280 degrees. If you can spare 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon just go for it. It's excellent !!

My husband and I took my nephew for a pizza class, and we had a total blast!! It was fun and we actually learned and experienced how to make pizza - from scratch, dough, tomato sauce, and all!! Each of us got to make four (4) pizzas. So we were able to experiment, create a classic, including a dessert pizza.... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
