If you love food, love history & love the feel of a community that supports each other, you will love this tour. My wee group of 3 were lucky enough to have Karen as our guide. Karen was easy going, funny & informative without being preachy or boring. Would highly recommend this company & this tour.

We had a lovely day with Allison and 2 other delightful couples. Wandered some lovely streets and terrific eateries. We sampled a variety of foods and really got a flavor of a neighborhood that we really didn't know so well.Allison is knowledgeable and personable. Altogether a wonderful way to spend a Saturday.

We arrived in Brooklyn a little early & wandered Smith Street. Lovely Brownstones, shops & restaurants. Karen was waiting outside for us & we met four wonderful people from Australia in our group. Karen gave us a little history of each area & of each place we visited. The owners, food, our group, locals & area couldn't have been better.... More

We arrived on the F train with another couple and had no problem finding Stinky Brooklyn and Karen, our tour guide, waiting for us outside. Karen provides interesting information about the history of the area, dating back centuries, as well as introductory stories to each restaurant and shop visited. Some shops/restaurants date back a century and some within the last... More

We booked a craft beer tour as part of our holiday in NY. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The guide Alex was excellent - fiendly and knowledgeable. We toured about 4 establishments in East Village, all serving excellent beer and some food to compliment the beers. Also we got a potted history of the area -... More

What a great informational/delicious walking tour in Brooklyn. We had a beautifully sunny day and our tour guide Nathalie Francois was kind enough to do all her talks and highlights of the area under the shade of trees along the way. The food sampling was well spaced out with a great variety. The tour guide was conscientious of her group... More

The Urban Oyster food tour of Brooklyn was a highlight of our trip in New York. Our guide Natalie had a wealth of information and was very friendly. The food stops were great and the owners/employees gave us a nice overview of their stores. This tour is a great way to get a real feel for Brooklyn .

The tour was really good value for money. Small tour group with an easy going guide. Lots of history about the East Village and very generous with the foods and beers along the way. I would recommend this as a brilliant way to spend an afternoon in Manhattan and learn about craft beer along the way.
