We took this tour in early October with Brian as our guide. He was entertaining and very informative, as we learned about the early immigrant history of the city. He took us to several small eateries where we tried food which I would not have tasted otherwise. I would definitely recommend this tour and Brian as a guide - Really... More

My husband and I did 2 tours while we were in New York with Urban Oyster Tours and they were both fantastic. Tales and Tenaments tour in the Manhattan area - learning the history of the people, food and changes of this borough since being founded and the Brooklyn Brownstone tour which was a highlight of our 6 weeks visiting... On an overcast day, our tour, Brooklyn Brownstone Neighborhood Eats, with Urban Oyster guide, Karen, was a surefire way to turn a gray day into an awesome one. We visited seven local "mom and pop" (or in two cases "brother and sister") shops where we met the owners who explained their history and how the local economy relies on each... More

Yesterday a friend and I took a Brooklyn Brownstone tour with Karen. We made several stops along the way to different stores while tasting their different offerings of food. This was a very enjoyable day for us. Karen was a sweetheart! She was so knowledgable, friendly, patient and interested in the groups interests and preferences. She kept to the schedule... More

My friends and I decided to take this tour of the Williamsburg area while tasting beer. What a fun day. Each stop was unique and the surrounding area was really nicer than I would have thought. The tour guide, Laura was so sweet and thorough and always had a smile on her face. It was great to see a part... More

Our tour guide Brian went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great experience and was quite friendly. We will definitely do another tour and bring friends who are visiting from out of town.

If you love food, love history & love the feel of a community that supports each other, you will love this tour. My wee group of 3 were lucky enough to have Karen as our guide. Karen was easy going, funny & informative without being preachy or boring. Would highly recommend this company & this tour.

We had a lovely day with Allison and 2 other delightful couples. Wandered some lovely streets and terrific eateries. We sampled a variety of foods and really got a flavor of a neighborhood that we really didn't know so well.Allison is knowledgeable and personable. Altogether a wonderful way to spend a Saturday.
