I took the Iconic New York Part 1 safari and really enjoyed it and learned a lot. One of the advantages to taking a photo safari is that you may discover photographic opportunities that you may not be aware of; for example I especially enjoyed the mirror image that we shot of the Empire State building. Without the tour I... More

I booked with photo safari on my first visit to New York as I didn't know the best spots to take the iconic pics. I researched on Trip Advisor and I wasn't let down. Zim was superb. She not only taught us where to go and how to take the shots, she also advised us on places to go for... More

Great if you want to take some unusual shots but don't know the city well enough to know exactly where to go.Would be good any level of experience. Even though I am reasonably experienced as photographer, I learnt a lot! A really fun day.

This would be my 2nd time returning to shoot with NYC Photo Safari, and I must say that I've gained another round of fantastic insights to photo taking in a concrete jungle! Zim makes her point across to participants succinctly and provides wonderful suggestions to framing the perfect image! I've enjoyed the 2nd time as much as the 1st, and... More

I took New York Photo Tour P1 & P2 in the same day. My instructor was Zim. My original expectation was that I would be taken to locations that would be photographically interesting and it would save me from having to spend the time to scout interesting locations. This tour blew away my expectations. I was amazed at the amount... More

This was my second photo safari and as always, Zim's personal touch and sharing made the entire experience yet another memorable and fruitful one. Other than capturing the amazing angles of NYC, we also gained much from her narrative of cultural practices in the city! Totally doing this again!

Zim! You are a rockstar! The photo safari was one of the best photo tours I have ever been on. I learned so many tips and tricks that I have already started using. You taught me that it was more important to be creative with my shots and to focus on composition than be confined by the buttons and functions... More

I went to museums, galleries, a Broadway show, the High Line, and more, but Zim's class was the best part of my NYC vacation. This class would be great for all levels of photography- she not only taught technical things, but more importantly, how to SEE and capture good shots. She is warm, fun and extremely knowledgable- I got lots... More
