I just did the MET photo safari, and since I was the only one attending that class, it was basically a long private lesson! Zim is fantastic--very knowledgeable and creative, but also very approachable and skilled at presenting things at a beginner level. The time really flew by and I learned so much--it will definitely change my shooting practices going... More

I participated in the Central Park at Night safari with Zim as our instructor. I was the first to arrive and it was terrific just chatting with Zim while we were waiting for the others. I found out later how knowledgeable she is as well!! She gave some great instruction and made the whole experience fun as well as educational.... More

I signed up for the Highline Park and Iconic New York Safaris and had an excellent experience. The session started with students describing intentions, then our instructor (Zim) did some basic instruction. After the instruction we were given a simple assignment. I found the structure of instruction/assignment to be very helpful as the assignment solidified the instruction. Zim reviewed most... More

I have just returned from a visit to new York with my daughter and we both really enjoyed the NYC photo safari. We met our guide (Zim) and there were 6 of us in the tour (2 from England, 2 Aussies and 2 from the USA, there was a no show, they missed a treat.) I am pretty much a... More

As a native New Yorker I rarely stop to take photos in the city. My instructor, Tony was VERY helpful teaching me the correct settings, pointing out the most advantageous spots to shoot, and for helping me to see NYC through a new lens!

My husband loves to take 200-300 photos a day on vacation and my son is starting to develop some skills... so, we booked this tour and rented a Canon for the 14-year old, hoping this would be a fun evening activity for the 3 of us. We were blown away. The tour was not that taxing, as we walked and... More

As a pro studio photographer, I have a doubt on the utility of this tour but... it was just amazing. The guide (Zim) was more than pro and guided us through the iconic New York City with all the knowledge it take to make 3 hours makes like 10 minutes. The guide was focussed on composition but also give extra... More

My family loved the photo safari on the iconic New York City tour. A great way to enjoy the city while creating lasting memories for my family, especially for my two teenage sons. Thank you, Zim, for helping us "open our eyes".

I was fortunate to meet a great group of gals on my tour/class. All of us had varying degrees of knowledge about using our camera's (mine was severely limited but that was one of reasons I wanted to undertake the course). Zim is an amazing instructor, she took the time to get know each of us and find out our... More

Zim was lovely, informative and useful. She was really focused on composition, with some specific tips about technical things for specific shots. I did the 5-8 pm architecture tour and found it excellent... Chrysler building, grand central station, Empire State Building, public library, Times Square. Zim knew where to go to get interesting shots and helped you focus your composition.... More
