This tour was perfect for getting your feet wet in Harlem. Our tour guide, Jacqueline, was extremely knowledgeable and well known in the community. People would stop her on the streets, give a hug and a warm smile...we knew we were in good hands! We visited 6 different places along a 4 block radius, stopped at various landmarks, including the... This tour was a research project for our department at work, and it was well worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and the places that we went to were relevant. The food was amazing and makes me want to go back to experience each place again in more than just 15 or so minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent and generous food selections, jackie was so enthusiadtic and engaging and knowledgeable. Not a memorized speech but a true appreciation of the neighborhood--past, present and future-- conveyed with facts, stories and a little gossip. Unexpected great stops and meeting people. Really a terrific day.

This tour was fabulous!! We learned so much about Harlem from Jackie - the history, culture and current developments. The food part was also wonderful - lots of great stops and interesting, delicious food. After the 4-hour tour, we spent the rest of the afternoon in Harlem visiting some places that Jackie told us about. We would highly recommend this... More

It's content rich in telling you the story of the neighborhood. A special treat was to see inside a renovated brownstone. We also... More

If you only have one day to explore NYC, take the Taste of Harlem Food & Cultural Tour. You will learn the history of the neighborhood while stuffing yourself with lip-smacking soul food and Caribbean fare. You'll even step inside the famous Apollo Theatre.

Jackie is a gracious and welcoming host. I was impressed with her knowledge and spirit. Her love of Harlem is evident the places we visited and the people we met along the way. The group I toured with was diverse and dynamic, from native New Yorkers to a first time Canadian visitor. I will recommend this tour and will consider... More
