We've always enjoyed Broadway shows, so this was extra fun! Our tour guide knew so many interesting facts, and seemed to have so much fun sharing them with us. Next time in NYC we will definitely do the Act II and Act III tours!

We had the great pleasure of by led by Hannah for our tour yesterday and really lucked out that we had her all to ourselves as we were only a group of three. She filled us in on the early history of broadway beginning with Herald Square up to the Stephen Sondheim theater. If you are fan of NYC architecture... More

We took the Act I tour with Tim on June 24. What a treat! It's a fabulous tour that includes history, fun facts, personal experience behind the scenes as a working actor...and ghosts of the theatre! What's not to like? I have taken a number of New York walking tours, and this counts among the best. Thank you, Tim for... More

Our tour guide "John" greeted us all and made us feel comfortable from the outset. I enjoyed the interesting facts about the theatres that I had no idea about, such as owners, previous owners and even ghosts. I was glad I had my iPad with me so that I could take some photos. Its not a long tour, but its... More

The guide made it, talking about his own experiences, and those of friends in the business. Perfect for theatre fans and a fascinating look at the history of New York too.

We were in New York for a short time and wanted to do a Broadway tour before seeing our show. We selected Broadway Up Close at the recommendation of a friend and were so happy with the tour. We had a mixture of teens and young children with us and the tour had something for everyone. Tim was very personable... More

My 15 year old daughter and I went on the Act I tour with Hannah yesterday and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My daughter considers herself somewhat of a Broadway expert but she still learned a lot. I had very little knowledge of Broadway so it was very educational. We learned a lot about the history of several theatres... More

Tim our guide was so fascinating, knowledgable and entertaining. He was obviously extremely passionate about his subject and we were very sad when the tour was finished. I would recommend this tour to anyone, Tim told us such interesting stories about the architecture, the theatre stars, even the theatre ghosts. Can't wait to return to NYC to do the other... More

My daughter and I wanted to see Broadway and they did a great job! We learned a lot! Plus the tour guide himself was acting on Broadway, so he had a lot of information.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
