Act 1 with John. He was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Knew all kinds of behind the scenes tidbits that really made it fun. Highly recommend for people interested in Broadway, history &/or NY architecture.

The tour was a wonderful way to learn about the history, operations and stars of Broadway. Our guide, Tim, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and nice. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the theater.

We did Act III with Tim. This was our second tour with Tim and we just love him! This tour was the theatre's in the upper part of the theatre district. Because Tim is in the business he knows so many great stories to share from his first hand experience. He uses a tablet to show pictures which enhances the... More

My husband and I make an annual pilgrimage to NYC each May and see as many shows as we can fit in. It is a passion of mine. Can't believe I have never run into this tour before but I'm so grateful I did. So much so we took Act I one day and Act II the next. The tour... More

Planning a theatre trip to New York, I came across BUC and I am so pleased I did. I booked the Act 1 tour and, as it turned out, I was the only person booked for that session. As I couldn't take the tour any other time, I offered to pay the difference for a private tour and was also... More

Had a few hours to kill in NYC so signed up for a Act 1 BUC private tour. My husband & I really enjoyed it. Our guide Joe was very informative, warm, & friendly. He spent lits of time with us and was happy to answer any questions. We learned a lot about Broadway's history and life as an actor... More

We were the first people to take the Act III tour and Tim was our guide. We took the Act I and Act II tours in august of last year, and this tour was just a great as the others. If you want to learn Broadway history in an exciting way, there is no better place to start than Broadway... More

What a great way to spend two hours. We come to NYC once or twice a year for theater and on this trip were seeing 4 shows in 4 days. Found Broadway Up Close when cruising Trip Advisor for something different and was intrigued. Drew was knowledgable and fun and didn't mind when we veered off Broadway history to ask... More

I knew this would be an interesting tour from reading the reviews but I didn't expect the the high level of customer service this company provides. I called last minute to book Act I and spoke to Tim directly, he asked a lot of questions on my interests in Broadway, found out I was a long time Les Miz fan... More

Broadway Up Close offers the best inside look at Broadway we've ever experienced. We have taken many tours and different kinds of Broadway tours but this, by far, was the best one we've taken. It provides a real insider's view of how Broadway works. Tim, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Not only does he have first hand... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
