Unfortunately this show ends soon but what a great show! This was my first Broadway Musical and loved it. I grew up in the '80's which made it all the better. If you grew up in the 1980's and loved the hair bands this is a must!

My family are not real theatre-goers ... and this was the only show we saw in NYC. It fitted the criteria for my hubby and 2 teenaged daughters! The show was great .. Constantine was fantastic .. and after the show we had photos with some of the performers as they came out of the side exit :-)

We love this show! The music is fun and drives the storyline. It is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously (actually, it doesn't take itself seriously at all :)) We were not fans of the movie, and wonder if the movie did harm to the sales of the show. We are so sad to see it go.

I will start off by saying I am not a huge fan of musicals, but this one was just amazing. It was high tempo, fun, and if you like 80's music, you will be able to sing along with every song. The songs are woven into the script very nicely, which adds to the fun. The theater was intimate and... More

Having been in high school and college in the 80s, this show was a blast. Lots of good music, cultural references, and one-liners. Cannot really say anything about the score because it is 80s music (mostly harder rock and roll - think Guns n Roses and Journey); you like it or you don't. The book was terrific, very funny and... We really enjoyed this show. Much different "feel" than most on Broadway...more like a "concert" than a show. The theatre wasn't too large, so we felt very connected with the performers on stage.

It's closing soon, but worth seeing if you can. The music is fantastic and the story line weaving the songs into it is clever (although predictable). There's a lot of great comedy in it that 40/50/60 somethings will get that the 'younger' crowd' won't, but that's what makes it fun for all ages, as everyone gets something a little different... We have seen the movie several times and have been wanting to see the production since it came out. At long last we made it back to NYC and the Helen Hayes theater to see Rock of Ages. We had seats in the mezzanine with perfect views. The set was awesome and the music, singing and dancing were incredible. Our... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
