The guides vary. Some are brilliant. Others average. Overall we found them good value for money assuming a$10-15 per head tip.

we were in New York for a couple of weeks in April- and as it was our first time we thought the best way to see some of this amazing city was to join a few FreeToursByFoot...and what a brilliant decision.

I took 2 tours, one in Brooklyn Heights, and the other one was a food tour in the Village, both with the same guide Courtney.

I did two tours, Greenwich village and Harlem, both with Derrick. A huge contrast between the two places, and Derrick was very knowledgeable and passionate about both. As a solo traveller, I found the tour very friendly, and we were introduced at the beginning, and people chatted away to each other. The pace was easy and incorporated a food stop...

Great free tour. The guide kindly request for tips and that was clear from the beginning, so it was really clear and worth. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Good pace and good amount of information, good for elder travelers and visitors. I was with two elder people and they really enjoyed.

We did the Greenwich Village tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Renee was a great guide, full of lots of interesting stories and we got so much more out of our afternoon there than if we had wandered around on our own. I wish we had time to take their other tours. Highly recommend.

I took 4 tours, they were all great, but I will definitelly recommend the tour All-in-One Downtown with Robin, she is the most amazing guide I ever met. She was fun, very interesting to listen to everything she told us; she made the whole tour fun/funny/easy and unforgettable. We LOVED her!
