I won't spend a lot of words on this. You got to do this, it's amazing! Our guide Dante Salerno was super friendly, funny and had a LOT of interesting things to tell about this neighborhood. No written guide can ever be this interesting :) Even if you only understand a little English, we would recommend the free tours by... More

Good organization and contact. The tour itself was disappointing. The guide wasn't the best. I can't point to a specific thing. We just didn't enjoy this tour like we have others.

My husband and I love walking tours, and RENEE was one of the best guides we've had. We took her Greenwich Village tour. She knew lots of interesting history, architecture and entertainment lore, much of which she has researched herself. From John Wilkes Booth to the Ugly Naked Guy, she kept us entertained every minute. She was really good at... More

We were not sure how well things would work but two tours later we would certainly recommend them. The admin. was managed very professionally, down to an email the night before each tour to introduce the guide and clarify arrangements for the following day. We did the tour of SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown, also the Foods of the East... More

This tour was really interesting! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our guide however she was very keen and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Would definitely recommend this tour to others. The only downside was that is was about 3 hours which is quite a long time and lot of walking in the evening time (we had been... More

I have been on many professionally conducted tours, both walking and riding, of great places all over the U.S. and several cities in Europe. I can't recall any that were the equal of this one, regardless of the price. Who would ever imagine that a free tour could put most of them to shame? I'm really not exaggerating-- all they... More

Great tour guide - sorry I don't remember his name. But he was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the topic. Showed respect for the people and the history of the neighbourhood :)

Wonderful tour with Renee. She was funny, personable, and knowledgable. Feel like we got a really good overview of the history and highlights of the area. My tween and teenage kids also greatly enjoyed the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. One of the highlights of our NYC trip.

Tour guide, Onel, was knowledgeable, appropriately funny, and obviously very experienced in giving tours. He uses a voice magnifier which makes it easy to hear everything he is saying. The pace of the tour was perfect and we covered the history of the City Hall area buildings, walked over the Brooklyn Bridge discussing salient pieces of information along the way,... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
