Fabulous and informative tour with Alicia on 31st March, we battled through the rain and learnt heaps about the history of Harlem which may otherwise have escaped us. Thoroughly recommend Free Tours!

WE did the Grand Central Tour and our guide was wonderful...so many interesting facts and wonderful stories. It´s such a beautiful building and so good that it has been saved (hear the story on the tour!) We also did Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown. This is a MUST tour. You would never see some things if you do it on your... More

This tour is only offered on Sunday mornings and it's no wonder - you would never be able to get around so easily during a normal business/travel day. We had heard about it from friends and are so glad we hauled ourselves out of bed and out into the freezing weather - it was a fantastic tour. Fortunately, most of... More

I'm visiting New York with my parents, all the way from Australia. On our last day here in the city, we took the Brooklyn Bridge/Heights tour with Zac. He was a great guide and very informative. It was such a good experience to walk over the Bridge and see Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. The highlight was the amazing view of... More

On March 28, 2015 a friend and I took the Greenwich Village food tour. It was everything advertised and more!! We were lost and late, we missed the group. We call the office and someone answered!! Helped us find the group and later checked in to make sure we made it. Our tour guide was great, informative, and so friendly.... More

We had a great time walking with Renee in downtown Manhattan. She knows a lot about the neighborhood and the history of the city. She was enthusiastic and nice to talk to. We learned so much about this part of the city. Just book the tour and have a great time!

Dante did a great job. Pace was perfect. Great mix of history and local color. Would highly recommend this tour for first timers in the East Village.

This tour was led by Dante, on a cold spring day. We found him very informative in a fun way and learnt a lot about the history of the bridge and the area over the other side. The snow started as we were crossing the bridge and we were all pretty cold, so welcomed a short break where he recommended... More

This was such a unique perspective of the city's street art. It was like getting a backstage tour of Soho. Our guide was incredible. I highly recommend everyone to take tours with this group. It exposes you to the real New York. Unforgettable experience.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
