We took 2 fantastic Free Tours by Foot on our recent visit to NYC, the High Line with David and the Brooklyn Bridge/DUMBO with Jim. Both guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining and we really enjoyed the tours. They allowed us to see a side of the city we hadn't experienced on previous trips. Many thanks to our guides for... More

So informative! Dante is an excellent tour guide....organized, informative, enthusiastic and interesting! Thoroughly enjoyed learning about Brooklyn through the facts he presented and the interesting stories of the visionaries who built the beautiful Brooklyn area. 5 star tour for sure!

Excellent, well paced tour! Meredith is knowledgeable and organized. We covered 3 neighborhoods with 2 opportunities for snacks. She had a nice mix of historical and practical information. There was a mix-up with the company and she had to absorb an additional group of 8, but she handled it well and didn't detract from our experience. My only regret is... More

What a wonderful way to experience the bridge, and Brooklyn area. Dante was a fantastic guide and we would highly recommend this tour. His knowledge of the area is amazing and it was a great way to experience this area. You get to see and do more than doing it on your own. We had lots of stops for photos... More

We did two tours , the All In One, and the Greewich Food Tour. Both were fantastic. The All in One gave us agreat overview of this fabulous city, and explained the history to me, which helped me to better understand and enjoy the rest that the city had to offer. The tour guides are great, well informed, able to... More

What a wonderful tour of the Brooklyn Bridge, Brookkyn Heights, and DUMBO! The sights were spectacular and our tour guide, Dante, made our walk both educational and enjoyable. He knew the area inside out, stopped for our many photo shoots, gave us a coffee break even though we were running late, threw in many interesting and funny anecdotes, and answered... More

Dante was a great guide with lots of knowledge. As a bit of a music geek I loved all the details and quirky facts that Dante had about musicians and their connections with the East Village. I got so much more out of the tour than I would have if I had walked on my own. Would recommend it to... More

Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo. Dante is an excellent guide, friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, approachable. He shared the detailed history of what we were seeing, as well as lots of "inside scoop" anecdotes and stories. Very enjoyable experience, good exercise and we learned a lot... that's a good combination! Thanks Dante!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
