I took the Context Travel Architecture of NYC Tour on a beautiful sunny day in March. The small group of people on the tour were interesting and fun to spend a few hours with learning about the iconic buildings along 42nd Street. Our docent, Hansel, was insightful, engaging and very knowledgeable about architecture and the history of NYC. It was... More

We did this tour on Christmas Eve and it was wonderful. We started at the United Nations end of 42nd Street and worked our way westward, stopping at all of iconic buildings on this famous street. Ford Foundation Building, Daily News Building, Chrysler Building, Chanin Building were all visited and explained in depth by our great guide. We also visited... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour last weekend. It was a bit brisk (it's November after all!) but we found it to be a highlight of our trip to the city. Our guide, Meisha, was knowledgeable and very entertaining. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to NYC. This is our second experience with Context Travel walking tours... More

My wife and I took a tour of the Meatpacking District and the High Line Park on Labor Day 2013. Our docent, Matico Josephson, greeted us outside the Chelsea Apple Store and the next 5 hours could not have been more enjoyable. Matico was informed and engaging! He explained that Context provides personalized tours and information that are tailored to... More

We booked a private family tour of moma which lasted for three hours. Our guide, Monica, was fantastic. We are a family of five with children aged 15, 13 and 8. We saw some moma highlights but in a way that told the story of modern art. If we had toured by ourselves we would have got 5% of the... More

Our guide Matico was absolutely the best. Knowledgeable, easy to talk to, passionate, interesting and able to incorporate our interests into the tours. Our Context tours were the most expensive activities we participated in on our trip but may have been the best value, which is amazing. The perspective that our first tour (which was on day two of our... More

Brilliant walking tour of NY. Excellent variety of the big famous buildings and lesser known but no less interesting places. Guide was superb - encyclopaedic knowledge of NY sky line, she work on the preservation committee so had a well thought out point of view on literally everything. Loved it so much I'm going to do their tour of London... More

My brother and I took the Birth of the Cocktail tour in NY in May. I did not know exactly what to expect so for us out-of-towners it was a great walking tour of historic speakeasies and other notable locations in cocktail history and just a good walking around tour of the city itself. Our guide was great - friendly,... More

Knowing nothing about architecture this is a great tour which teaches both architecture and the history of NY at the same time. Well worth the money spent on it. Our group was only 4 people which made it ideal for questions and answers while we were walking the route. I would highly recommend this tour!!!

Wow! We did the three hour chocolate tour and it was so much fun, tasty and very interesting. Our guide did an excellent job explaining about the shops and techniques. The tour required quite a bit of walking, so be prepared. We bought lots of delectable bon bons along the way. I'd do it again!
