No, do not pay 30 dollars for this! Sooo not worth it. The part with the different ways of torturing people was ok but that´s it.

We had our NYPass for attractions and this place was supposed to be one of those places included, and when we got there, they told us that they were not working with the NYPass anymore....for the past 2 years!! So we just walked out very mad with the fact that our ticket said this was included. Don't know who's to... More

Very good. Fun exhibits in the entrance only a preview of what lies in store. The lady taking photos was very polite. It is very fun to go around and find out about these amazing people and things, I particularly liked the secret door and electric chair. The Lightning tunnel and piano stairs were good too. Fun gift shop and... More

Teenage sons liked it and anything that gets their approval helps the family holiday succeed! Good location. However, think its a bit pricey for what you get, we are the internet generation, our standards are pretty stratospheric. So, if time to kill and money no object, definitely go if already in area, otherwise, recommend spending your cash elsewhere (eg Air... More

We liked the displays here as everything was factual but, bizarre. It is not too large a place so you can do it in 2 hours and some displays are interactive.

Although some of the exhibits are a little gory there were a lot of interactive exhibits that were fun. Some neat photo op opportunities and with discount tickets available from street hawkers it was a fun experience.

We were a group of six with kids ages 7 & 9. Bought our tickets online so saved 20% off the walk-in price. It is still expensive but we all felt it was worth it. We probably spent about 2 1/2 hours here on a rainy day. The exhibits were fun and interesting and right up our curious kids alley!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
