Description: A very unique experience that is different from most standard food tours...
A very unique experience that is different from most standard food tours. We are a true eating tour, not a sampling tour. You choose what you eat and how much. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner while mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.TripAdvisor Award of Excellence Winner in 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014.

It's my first time in New York and I did this tour early in my trip. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Corey was an excellent tour guide, entertaining, professional, and highly knowledgeable about the best value places to eat in town, and he is obviously very passionate about food and his city. Corey created a fun, friendly environment... More

My boyfriend and I took the food on foot tour on the 22nd August. We found it a fantastic experience to see an area of New York that we wouldn't have visited and also trying some types of food that we had not eaten before. Corey was polite and informative, he also regularly asked about how each person found each... More

Rory our tour guide managed the tour well, at times being a school master role which helps coordinating a group size of around 20 adults. We loved the local selection and did go back to three of the restaurants recommended or covered in the tour for meal later. Excellent local knowledge and good selection of local food joints. Didn't had... More

We did a tour of the East Village with Corey. He was informative, friendly and helpful. He gave some interesting historical insight to the area and also ensured that his guests were happy and that they knew what they were going to experience, recommended portion sizes etc. The foods we experienced were varied and generally tasty. Our favourite was the... More

We saw these food tours advertised in the New York pass book which we bought on-line before traveling to New York for a 7 day vacation. We all really enjoyed Corey's tour of the district and also his informative info on the various food stops. We really enjoyed the metro ride it made us feel like real New Yorkers. Thoroughly... After reading the reviews on here, most were good so I was excited about the tour, however 15 min in, we were already planning to leave early. Corey, the owner and tour guide, is very stereotypical New York. Very brash and to the point. He makes everyone on the tour feel incompetent like they are in 2nd grade. I understand... More

We are truly sorry this guest did not like the tour or our style. The type of tour we do is a large group format and we do walk real neighborhoods with lots of guests. We need to keep things moving and at the same time talk to the group which we do between stops. In six years of tours... More

Once we arrived at New York City, we began planning our trip. Me and my grandson agreed that being apart of the famous Food on Foot Tour would be absolutely amazing. We booked for the New York Waterfront tour at Brooklyn. This is a specific, only summer time held tour, only four during the season. You could say we were... More

We are sorry this guest did not like the tour but we certainly went out of our way to explain that it was a special and different tour and not one of our regular tours. That included the fact that we would be eating outside, that the first stop would be awhile from the start, that we would be doing... More

Booking for the Sweet Tooth tour was extremely complicated. Way more than any other tour I have ever booked and I am very skilled at booking pretty much everything related to travel on the computer. Furthermore, reading the instructions and caveats of the tour took 20 minutes of reading them out loud to my friend who was traveling with me... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. You have your opinions and have every right to share. It sounds like you stayed for the entire tour. If you did, you know I asked anyone who had anything they did not like to please ask me about it before they wrote anything. If you had, most of your questions would... More

We really enjoyed our Go West food tour with Cory. We stopped at some great spots that we never would have found on our own. In fact, the pizza was so good we went back later that day for dinner. Cory was very helpful giving additional food recommendations for the rest of our trip. The one downside of the tour... More
