This is a beautiful site. It matches the beauty of any small european cathedral. I've been to the UK, Paris, and Colone and had not seen a church quite like this one. If you take children, make sure they know how to behave in a church to avoid beeing reprimended. The caretakers of this place don't have much of a... More

Stepping through the door into the Gothic Church was like entering a sanctuary. The hustle and bustle was left behind, a darkish cool quiet enveloped us. Beautiful statues with delicate details invite to sit and marvel and become still, nourishing the soul.

This church is definitely Gothic in architecture and pretty eerie inside. It's dark and there is loud, low organ music playing that makes it feel almost haunted. The stained glass is beautiful and very unique, but for an active church it felt very strange, in my opinion.

What a lovely small church. The cathedral vaulted ceiling is beautiful and the stained glass windows are magnificent. It appears to be renovated in the past few years, making the windows spectacular. So glad we were able to walk through the church and take it all in. I've walked past it many times, happy to finally enter and enjoy.

We visited this church on the recommendation of a worker at St Patricks Cathedral down the street. It is a darker church but very peaceful and quite spiritual. The columns are soaring and draw your eyes up to the very beautiful stained glass windows. But the real highlight is the magnificent stone carving behind the altar. It us well worth... More

take some time, walk there and just marvel at the amazing gothic architecture and sheer beauty inside. It sits in between the concrete jungle of skyscrapers.

I visited St Thomas Church on a Saturday afternoon two weeks before Christmas. I had just spent the day at the Met and after a nice saunter up 5th Ave in the snow, was able to enjoy a time of peacefulness at an Evensong service here. The choir music was angelic, the readings of Scripture encouraging. The architecture and atmosphere... More

when people visit NYC, they usually go to St. Patrick to admire the giant structure. St. Patrick is always crowded with visitors and it is almost impossible to get clear interior photos. there is another gem that seems to be forgotten in NYC: St. Thomas. I found out about this church from browsing the web and decided that I had... More

Where the angelic voices of the young trebles blend perfectly with the richer voices of older altos. The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys is considered by many to be the leading ensemble in the Anglican choral tradition in the United States. Directed since 2004 by John Scott, formerly Organist and Director of Music at St. Paul's Cathedral in... More

I almost didn't go into St. Thomas, but I am so glad that I did. What an absolutely stunning interior, it has St. Patrick's beat by a mile. I appreciated that everyone was quiet and respectful when they were in the church. A discreet box was placed at the back of the church for a donation - I was happy... More
