If you visit Greenwich do enter via Washington Square. rooted deep in history it attracts free entertainment in a tranquil setting. The Square is due to imminent change much to the annoyance of many locals but presently it leads to many bars and restaurants. I walked around Manhattan rather then take a tour bus. I found Greenwich the gem of Manhattan. Walk throught the streets and take a turn on to Union Sq and the Farmers market for a break. Loved it! more

I think this is my favorite area of Manhattan. I could have spent days wondering around. So different from the rest of the city. It amazed my how quiet it was. I loved the tree lined streets. Found the Friends' building and also went on the SATC, a lot of the show was filmed in the village. more
