This area is fantastic and I felt authentic of NYC. I really enjoyed walking around this section of NY and the different type of folks that live/visit. The stores and restaurants were awesome. I cannot wait to come back and spend more time.

Just a great area to walk around and look at the shoppes, restaurants, galleries, and different stores. Even better at night for the bars and restaurants. There is the east village and the West village.

New York is a city of neighborhoods, and spending a day in Greenwich Village is a must-do. We first discovered the charms of the Village through another fun attraction, the Literary Pub Crawl, where guides (many of them actors) take you into some of the famous pubs frequented by writers of the 1800s and early 1900s. The neighbood itself is... More

A charming stylish residential district, in the past home to an artistic and literary community as well as bohemians. These days high rents have changed its neighbours though not its vibe. With the spirit and flavor of Europe in its winding streets one can find exquisite private stairs, lovely historic brownstones, tree-lined streets, cosy restaurants and sidewalk cafés of virtually... One of the nichest areas of New York. Take a few hours to walk through it. Wouldn't mind living here.

This charming residential neighborhood south of midtown, also called simply the Village, offer a range of cosy restaurant, cool bars, art galleries and interesting peope. It is definitely worth exploring the east side as well. The Gramercy park area is especially green and interesting.

Greenwich Village has a lot of fun, quaint, charming streets with historic buildings. It's fun (for adults) to just walk through the streets and absorb the surroundings. Lots of little places to eat and coffee shops. Great place to get away from noise and crowds. Lots of fun, interesting people too. NYU is in Greenwich Village. Be sure to visit... More

After the hustle and bustle of the Manhattan area most people visit (including us), it was nice to visit another type of New York which was much more laid back and peaceful and also contains Washington Square Park (and the iconic Washington Arch). The added bonus was looking for and finding the "Friends' house" (it's actually the building they shot... More

This is one very charming neighborhood in which you'll find a lot of restaurant and cafe options. It's a good place to walk by without coming across a lot of tourists.
