I love Greenwich village my only regret is that I find a hotel and stay down there and should have spent more time there!

Have a mooch around this area - it is so pretty and full of nice restaurants, bars and bijou shops. So different from 5th Avenue area - it really is like a village.

Full of great restaurants, best cup cakes I ever eaten, parks, unique shops and you can walk freely and very safe and clean. Would like to stay in this area on my next visit.

It's hard to figure out how to approach the village, but feel free to ask which direction you should head to. Everyone wants to see Washington Square Park, but there are adorable residential streets and commercial ones also. Bleecker has shops - fancier than they used to be - west of 7th Avenue. There are wonderful places to eat everywhere,... More

We had a great day exploring this area of the city. We started at union square, to the Cooper Union Building, onto Bleeker Street, walked past the first Uni in NYC and Washington Sq Park. Another interesting park of ppl playing Jazz, kids running around, picnics etc. Down Macdougall street and walked past the Cafe Wha (closed), the Lady of... More

Still Bohemian, but more commercial than in years past. Historic heart of old NY. Just walk and walk, shop, eat, drink. It's a whole different city below 14th St. Several companies offer a food/history tour.

Greenwich Village is an eclectic mixture of brownstones, street vendors, pets and great restaurants and bars. Busy and boho-professional. Not for kids. Great cheap original art available and terrific dinners for two, very reasonably priced. Don't confuse it with Soho-this is safer and accessible. Not as trendy

I have loved this part of New York all my life. I remember buying records at Blecker Bob's and Tower Records and walking the neighborhood which are alive and have character and personality. There is always something happening and people watching is tops, so many unique characters.

as we travelled as a family of 6, we had to fulfil everyone's goals. One of them was a visit to Greenwich village to the location of the friends building. What we found was a cute little suburb with little boutiques & little cafes. A little treasure, glad we visited. Just enjoyed walking the streets, so many wonderful sights &... More

My hubby and I took our 3 Adult daughters to New York to create memories. We had lunch in Greenwich Village, and had a walking tour of Manhattan. Lots of Fun!
