there is a fountain there behind the arch, with street baskers around, it is a charming little village where young children can enjoy and soak in the vibes.

The last time I was in the Village was in the 60's. Needless to say, it has changed. We loved it this time, too. We ate at a trendy little neighborhood restaurant we found on Trip Advisor! Try the little Owl! Shopping was fun with all the little boutiques. At one of the places, the clerk pointed out several things... More

To get there, we used the New York subway lines, since this part of New York, among the people simply called the Village, was distanced from our hotel Pennsylvania in 34th street and Seventh Ave. We should have passed the Herald Square, after that Madison Square Park, Union Square and finally via the Washington Square Park to reach the goal.... Greenwich is one of the most lovely spots in the whole city. We love to stroll through the streets of this beautiful neighborhood. It also has some of our favorite restaurants! Definitely take the time to visit Greenwich so you can see one of the prettiest neighborhoods in in the city.

After reading reviews about Greenwich Village, we though we would check it out. It was definitely more relaxing than around Times Square and surrounding areas. We walked around for a while and then spent some time in Washington Square park. It is a beautiful park. It is a shame there were no eateries there except some small sausage stall. Worth... More

Great, walking the streets of Greenwich, exploring the area and discovering the one of a kind unique shops. Friendly staff in all the shops we browsed as well as fellow explorers.

This area is fantastic and I felt authentic of NYC. I really enjoyed walking around this section of NY and the different type of folks that live/visit. The stores and restaurants were awesome. I cannot wait to come back and spend more time.

Just a great area to walk around and look at the shoppes, restaurants, galleries, and different stores. Even better at night for the bars and restaurants. There is the east village and the West village.

New York is a city of neighborhoods, and spending a day in Greenwich Village is a must-do. We first discovered the charms of the Village through another fun attraction, the Literary Pub Crawl, where guides (many of them actors) take you into some of the famous pubs frequented by writers of the 1800s and early 1900s. The neighbood itself is... More
