I'm not big on dead animals, but this is a fun place to bring the kids. You can spend hours in fascination marveling over zillions of bugs, freeze dried bats and stuffed hamsters. I know it sounds gross, but the staff is wondrously friendly and intelligent. An interesting place for sure.

Evolution is a very unique store right in the middle of Sohos shopping district. They carry all things related to natural history. Bones, skulls, dead insects etc. Kids of all ages will find this store fun and interesting. There is nothing really scary on display here.

Our whole family loved shopping here - everybody bought something to bring home: from lollipops with scorpions inside to vintage-look human body poster. The shop says it's licensed by the New York state natural resources department so I assume their acquisition methods are ethical. We were really thrilled to stumble upon a store in SoHo that we could afford to... More

Then you must go to Evolution. As others have mentioned, it is definitely a bizarre and unique experience. Guys, head over to Evolution while your wife or girl friend shops in the boutiques - it's a great way to pass the time (and she probably won't mind if you go without her!)

This store carries, shells, skulls, rocks, charms, animal teeth, skeletons, tonnes of anatomy related merchandise, and really, much, much more. It was strange seeing some of the things they carried, but it was also quite the experience to see some of these things in a store in the first place. I would advise international travellers to double check what they... More

I have never been into a store like this before. I was amazed by all of the artifacts within and spent over an hour trying to take in everything they have to offer. The jewelry is unique and interesting. A must see in SOHO

No other store like this, must see to believe. My kids were intrigued for over an hour. If you can't make it to the store in SOHO, go to their kiosk at FAO Schwarz.

I enjoyed walking through this small, but unique store. There are tons of species. I bought about 25 lollipops to take home for the neighbor hood children. $2-$4 each.
