Interesting place, lots to look at. They have a full range of fossils, minerals, and crystals for sale, posters of all sorts, and preserved specimens from across the insect realm, as well as jewelry, animal skins, and many other odds and ends. They're also one of the few places with a permit to sell real human skeletons. Best to visit... More

This is a really interesting little shop that we came across quite by chance . It is filled with weird and wonderful items for sale, particularly fossils, bones and teeth. There are gifts related to astronomy, geology, archeology.....Indiana Jones would be in his element here ! The goods are displayed over two levels, with quite steep stairs up to the... More

There is a lot of great shopping in New York, but out of all the stores to visit my favorite experience is a stop at The Evolution Store in Soho. I can always count on bringing something 100% unique back home from this shop and its so fun to just look at everything. Shelves full of animal bones, stones, busts,... More

Like walking into Diagon Alley stores from Harry Potter movies with bones, insects, bugs, wings, a frog wallet, very weird and unusual items. Worth going out of the way for and a 1/2 hour of a visit.

The Evolution Store located in Soho is a fun and unique store. I brought my 2 sons here and were amazed at the products they carry. From fossils to alligator heads to bones to edible bugs. They loved all the interesting artifacts. Would definitely visit this store every time we come to the city.

I'm not big on dead animals, but this is a fun place to bring the kids. You can spend hours in fascination marveling over zillions of bugs, freeze dried bats and stuffed hamsters. I know it sounds gross, but the staff is wondrously friendly and intelligent. An interesting place for sure.

Evolution is a very unique store right in the middle of Sohos shopping district. They carry all things related to natural history. Bones, skulls, dead insects etc. Kids of all ages will find this store fun and interesting. There is nothing really scary on display here.

Our whole family loved shopping here - everybody bought something to bring home: from lollipops with scorpions inside to vintage-look human body poster. The shop says it's licensed by the New York state natural resources department so I assume their acquisition methods are ethical. We were really thrilled to stumble upon a store in SoHo that we could afford to... More
