We were treated to a great way of experienceing NYC/Brooklyn by joining this food tour. Richard was more than knowledgable about food, history and NYC. I would recommend this tour for couples, families and singles. Some walking but over all not very physically demanding. Enjoyed the unique flavors of Cuba and Poland and the classics like Pizza!

I was born and raised in North Jersey and while very familiar with Manhattan and the Bronx, I knew little about Brooklyn. My husband and I took this tour mostly because we are aware that it is the hip place to be these days. We had a great time. Richard, our guide was a WEALTH of information - not just... More

Great tour with Richard Bennett! I have lived between NJ and NY all my life and never saw Brooklyn. Moved to CA to come back and see it. Rick was excellent with historical info and local trivia about each area. We had a good overall experiece by visiting most parts of the area and having great local food( Polish, Cuban,... More

We totally enjoyed our Brooklyn tour. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable and gracious. We learned a lot about the diversity of Brooklyn, developed a historical perspective and appreciated a well planned variety of food. Unlike other food tours, we were very comfortable... Riding in the van and actually being seated in two restaurants. I highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Rick was amazing! He knew so much about NYC and my husband and I really felt like we learned so much about the city even though I grew up near NYC I didn't know a fraction of what Rick did. We had a great time and loved all the little stops with places to eat. I wouldn't say... More

I've been to New York 7 times now and always wanted to do Brooklyn - this was the perfect tour for my boyfriend and I to do! We learnt so much about the West Village/Greenwich along with Brooklyn - and it was great to try so many different foods and learn about their beginnings. I am a travel agent from... More

The tour was amazing!!!! From start to finish, my friend and I were treated like royalty. When we realized that the trip started in Manhattan, we called the tour company. The representative walked us through the directions to get from downtown Brooklyn to Manhattan on the subway. Afyerwards, he texted us step by step instructions and checked on us every... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
