I have lived in NYC for almost 7 years and even I learned so much on this tour! I went with my sister who was visiting from Los Angeles and we had the best time. I appreciated that a) it was on a air conditioned bus so we didnt have to walk a lot and were cool, plus it allowed... More

This was an Awesome Food Tour! Rick, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable about not only the best food places in Brooklyn, but also all about its' surroundings. We tasted some delicious samples of various cultural foods. We started with a Jewish treat and ended with a fabulous chocolate stop at Jacque Torres store. Everything else in between was just... Our Brooklyn food and culture tour was a real treat! Our informative guide, Rick, was full of NY information as well as being a great navigator. We had a substitute driver who was a bit unsure of the usual route for this tour. Rick was very cool about it and helped the driver out as well as giving the 14... More

Rick was wonderful and informative. Great food, great stories and spectacular views. Tasted food I would not have if he wasn't there to explain it. He took us places you would not know about on your own. This is a must do in NYC!

What a fantastic day. From the moment we met, Rick gave us excellent information on Brooklyn and New York, its history from the Dutch roots of the city to how it gets its water, and of course, the history and ethnicity of its food. And what food! From Russian Jewish and Polish to Cuban, pizza and chocolate, everything was fresh,... More

Great trip - Rich was VERY knowledgeable and the drive Luis was amazing at navigating the often very cramped streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Great way to get an introduction to Brooklyn - food was decent, but the tour was the highlight. Personally, my wife and I recommend the tour group consider skipping or replacing the Polish restaurant. Food was... More

Fantastic tour - not just food related but brilliant documentary on all things Brooklyn by our guide, Rick. What a lovely chap he is! Obviously the food stops were out of this world. As the weather was so warm we got our Cuban sandwich to go and sat in the park overlooking Manhattan. Good job, Rick

My Wife and I have been to NYC many times and lately we've been wanting to take some tours of the different areas in NY rather than exploring them ourselves. This is definitely the best way to do it. Rich knows his stuff and loves his job. It was like a History lesson crammed into one day. The tour was... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
