I was in the city and decided to wander over to Kee's for some of their truffles. I couldn't decide, so I wound up getting 18 different ones. My family and I really liked them. Some of the flavors are a bit more subtle, and you will notice the special ingredient more if you warm the chocolate in your mouth.... More

Having tried many of the best chocolatiers in the world, I can honestly say Kee's pralines and chocolate bar's are among the best. In US, without competition, especially for pralines. Magnificent. We have met Kee and she is very dedicated and a great artist with wonderful employees. We bought every chocolate bar they are producing and also tried many pralines... More

I've been to mant top-rated chocolatiers in Manhattan and Kees Chocolates are the best, hands down in my opinion. I would gladly spend $80 for a large box of these incredibly delicious world-class delights. They simply have no equal if you like some unique flavors like Thai Chili, Blended Pepper, Passionfruit, Pistachio, coconut, truffle.... Each one more delicious than the... More

I'm a repeat customer here. The counter staff may not be the same every time I'm there, but the quality and consistency remains high. Special mention of their spicy chocolates, somewhere akin to the Mexican flavors used in cooking. Try their Thai chili, the spicy sesame, pepper and ginger chocolates.

You may think it's expensive, but in truth, there's nothing but quality, pride and freshness in every piece of decadently produced chocolate. My faves include Thai chili, basil lime, spicy sesame and crème brulée.

This was the original & first location. This venue now holds just a counter for sales. Visit the new location on 39th Street where the kitchen and say hello with the proprieteur. The chocolate shells are exquisitely made to hold its prized chocolate filling... they are delicate to the mouth. Machines cannot make them this thin. Also, keep in mind... More

Kee’s Chocolates is our favorite chocolate shop in NYC. Kee’s is a small, minimal shop owned and operated by the affable Kee Ling Tong. Kee opened her flagship SoHo store in 2002 after a career change from the world of corporate finance. But she quickly established a flawless reputation for producing some of the freshest and finest quality handmade chocolates... More

Her preservative chocolate pieces have the best ganache combinations. Also, the chocolate shells are all handmade in small batches. With machine made molded chocolates, you cannot get shell pieces as thin and delicate as hers. Keep in mind her créme brulée chocolate pieces are best consumed in one bite. The quality has been getting better as the years go by.

If you're serious about your chocolate, and at these prices you'd need to be, then this is the best we've found in NYC. Great variety shows imagination and care taken by the maker. A must do.
