I went on a walking tour with Lina as part of an intimate group of mostly fellow NYers and was impressed by her knowledge, ability to simultaenously adapt to and anticipate our needs, as well as her expertise about NYs architecture, culture and history (and the interplay between the three). To make a long story short: Lina is smart, down-to-earth,... More

Lina is an expert in the culture, culinary life, and architecture of these neighborhoods. I've lived in NYC for 25 years, thought I had a good grasp of these 'hoods, but Lina really opened my eyes to the beauty, the curiosities, and the architectural footprint of the various immigrants who defined lower Manhattan. You will marvel at terrific building details,... More

The architectural tour of lower Manhattan with Lina is a combination of history, architecture, culture, curiosities, historical anecdotes, etc. and is easily understandable (we speak french). Lina is a perfect guide! She loves New York and knows how to share her passion. She made our day in New York very interesting, surprising and fun. Next time in New York we'll... More

Walking tours with Lina are an ideal way to see, enjoy and learn about NYC, especially if your time there is limited. Through her knowledge and enthusiasm we experienced vastly more than we could have on our own. Two days well spent. Lis and Geoff, Melbourne Australia

I had a free afternoon in NYC and booked a 3-hour tour of the Lower East Side with Lina. Lina has great knowledge of the city's history and tells stories in a way that brings the past to life. She also personalizes the tour to your interests. She talked about a street of pickle vendors, then brought me in to... More

Last year I came to NY and I did tours with Lina, I loved so much that this year I came back and I did a new tour with her – this time we went to Brooklyn. It was amazing – she knows a lot about the history and curiosities. I hope I come to NY and do tours with... More

We had the pleasure of having Lina taking us around NYC for a walking tour of 4 hours. She's an amazing story teller and incredibly knowledgeable about all the most interesting and characteristic parts of the city. She clearly has an enormous passion and depth of understanding and she's able to share that in a engaging and fun way. Absolutely... More

We had an incredible four hour walking tour with Lina in early July. There was a great deal of rain during our four day stay in NYC but we lucked out and got a beautiful sunny morning for our tour. We met Lina at Grand Central Station which was near our hotel and she immediately started the tour, telling us... More

I visit the city for business on a regular basis so it was a nice change of pace to take this walking tour. Lina allowed our small group of travelers to see a different side of NYC and each person walked away learning something new. She is a wealth of information and I particularly enjoyed her architectural insights. This was... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
