I visit the city for business on a regular basis so it was a nice change of pace to take this walking tour. Lina allowed our small group of travelers to see a different side of NYC and each person walked away learning something new. She is a wealth of information and I particularly enjoyed her architectural insights. This was... More

Our family of four (with sons 16 and 11) walked all day with Lina incl Downtown, Brooklyn, SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, Greenwich Village on a tour that she personalised for us. She shared with us her vast knowledge on NYC history, architecture and fantastic places to eat. She told us stories of her personal experiences & took us to see... More

I consider myself a history buff, but usually when on vacation I like to lay low. This tour, is simply perfect to balance the two. It was a casual afternoon and Lina allows you to sort of navigate the tour to fit your needs. Her wealth of information was fascinating, covering everything to food culture to architecture to the depths... More

Sid opened our eyes with his vast knowledge about Central Park and the surroundings. We learned so much along the tour and Sid also photographed our walk through Central Park, crystallizing the moments.

Our group of 9 (two families with members ranging in age from 20 to 60) had a wonderful tour of Little Italy, Chinatown, Greenwich and SoHo. Lina is a fabulous, informative guide and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our morning with her. She has a wonderful grasp of the history of the City as well as of the current scene.... More

Lina was a wonderful tour guide...informative and engaging. She kept it interesting for both my 11 & 14 year old as well as for my husband and myself. I look forward to exploring another neighborhood with Lina - the tour exceeded my expectations!

My wife and I took the Holiday walking tour with Lina, from Gotham Walking Tours. We had a great tour. Lina is an excellent guide. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour, and will use Lina's services again on future visits to NYC. I highly recommend Gotham Walking Tours. You won't be disappointed.

I have done a number of tours with Lina, both with my family and with groups of Australians that I have accompanied through my job. New York is an incredible city with so many layers and the only way to really "get beneath the surface" and get to know all the intimate stories, history and hidden treasures, is with someone... My partner and I have travelled all around the world and have discovered that the best way to really explore is to gain insights and see how the locals live. Of course, it is important to see the sights, however, there is so much more to these amazing places aside from the bright lights and souvenir shops. Whilst in New... More

Lina is wonderful! She's brings a wealth of knowledge and an engaging storytelling style to her tours -- which are endlessly fascinating, filled with great insights about what you're seeing, and filled with great tips about how to uncover even more about your own favorite corners of the city. Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
