You may think the Trip Advisor ratings are too good to be true? After a 6 hr Big Apple Tour you will feel compelled, as I am, to join the masses in rating this activity as 'Excellent'. Its an absolute must! My wife and I visited NYC 2nd - 8th May to celebrate her 40th birthday. I was keen to... More

If you are questioning anything check the reviews, they are spot on! We had a private tour with Thea and Iain(driver) and it was very pleasant. We were taken around in a very comfortable minivan and we saw all of the cool items listed on their web site. We went to the perfect spots and spent just the right amount... More

From initial phone and Internet contact thro' actual walk this was an excellent experience, and terrific intro, to the City. Highly recommended.

It was such a lovely day to walk with our friendly tour guide. He took very good care of our whole group, educating us about the sites and the city, we learned a lot. I would love to return and take a different tour on my next visit. I recommend taking a great tour with Real New York Tours.

We took the Dozen Apples full day tour with Aaron and it was delightful. He gave lots of helpful tips about getting around the city, what to see & do, tips about using the subway, and showed us many places. Best of all, he was fun and entertaining the entire time. Don't be put off about the level of activity... More

We took a personal 6 hour Big Apple Tour and it was customized to fit what we wanted to see. What an extraordinary experience! Our tour guide Ben was funny, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and full of fascinating facts. We had an insiders view of this city, so rich with history. The tour was the highlight of our 5 day trip... More

We are a family of 6 aged between 14 and 70 and did the Half Apple Downtown private walking tour. Our guide Ben was great, very friendly & knowledgeable and ensured that we went at our own pace and could stop for rest breaks whenever needed. I really couldn't recommend this enough, we saw so many things within the districts... More

My friend recommended Real New York Tours to me when I told her that my family and I were going to visit NYC. At first I didn't think much of it and had even decided that we wouldn't do it. I figured that we would just walk the city ourselves and see what we see. She told me time and... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
