My family and I had a great trip with Greg B. As newbies in NYC with family visiting we called in a professional to show us around. We saw more in 4hrs than we could have seen in a week on our own. Marvelous. And Greg was ace. Would highly recommend to all.

My family and I did a private half-apple tour of downtown with Lawrence and would highly recommend the tour and Lawrence! I was a bit unsure how things would go, since my kids are 9, 11 and 14 and are sometimes totally into tours and sometimes complain incessantly. Lawrence was great - the kids as well as my husband and... More

We went on the Dozen Apples Tour on 4/11/15 and it was fantastic. Our guide was Trey who was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He showed us many things we would never have noticed just wandering around on our own and gave us a real sense of what makes New York, New York! It also gave us ideas of what we... More

I booked a 3 hour tour the day before arriving in New York in early March. Luckily Greg had availability and my friend and I were able to secure a private tour geared to our interests at a time convenient to us. Greg met us in our hotel lobby near Bryant Park and off we went. It was such a... More

We went on the Dozen Apples tour on the second day of our first visit to NYC and I couldn't recommend it more. It was a great opportunity to see more of New York than just Times Square and the tourist attractions and we got a real feel for Manhattan and all of the different areas, we were able to... More

We had such a great and informative time with Aaron! He planned our day around the not-so-great weather, and tried to keep us warm and dry. He took us all over the city, taught us how to use the subway and was a wealth of information on city history, pop culture and yes, real NYC pizza! We were exhausted at... More

As we were only in New York for a couple of days and on the recommendation of a friend we booked a private downtown tour. Heidi was our brilliant guide and we managed to see and learn more in the 3 hours than we could have covered ourselves over the weekend. A walking tour let us see parts of the... More

This is my second tour with Real New York and once again their tour was fantastic. To be able to do a walking tour around the Village, Soho etc where tour buses are unable to take you was great. Gregory our tour guide was very knowledgeable and he new his history very well. I would definitely recommend them for your... More

Exceeded expectations! Frequently apprehensive in booking tours based exclusively on - subjective - reviews but overall read many positive things about this company and tours provided. Can say was not disappointed in any way. Jimmy was incredible and best described as a walking Encyclopedia Britannica on New York history! Truly not exaggerating and cannot say enough about what this guy... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
