I go to comedy gigs in every city I travel too and this was by far the most terrible I have ever gone to! We were led to believe it was going to be a recorded show with well known comedians, cheap drinks and a large crowd, it wasn't recorded, there were no well known comedians, the comedians seemed to... The admission price was alright and the comedians were pretty good, DC Benny was there but saved his best stuff for Last Comic Standing I guess. It is in a basement with benches and you are invading everyone's person space when you sit down. The price of the "mandatory" drinks are through the roof and the wait staff had a... More

We bought tickets from a guy at Times Square. He said this show had headliners from David Letterman show and that Letterman him self will take part in it. The whole thing was a big lie.....:( When we came there, it was old and bad maintained sitting places. The good thing was that they had ok selection of beer and... More

Wish we would have looked at the reviews. The seating is banquet tables in tight rows where you are placed with strangers. My husband angled us an end which saved us. 2 drink minimum. My rum and diet tasted funny and gave me a headache. Some of the material was funny. I think we could have found a better way... More

We brought tickets for a 'filmed television' performance at this club from one of its representatives in Times Square. We experienced a number of issues: 1) you can only buy tickets in sets of two... As a group of three, the sales guy told us that if we went to the gig and explained then we would be able to... More

We purchased these tickets from a "John" guy down in Time Square. We were a little worried it looked like a sketchy deal. 2 for $20. and 2 drink Min. The Club was a little small but cosey. We had lots of great Laughs the Acts were great. The Event host was a little dry... The Brick Oven Pizza and... More

Go see a new and very funny different type of off Broadway show called "Phantom of the Improv" appearing at Sophie's on Broadway, 318 W.53rd St. Starting 8/9, only one performance on Sat. night at 8:00. Tickets are nominal if bought through Gold Star or Y Plan online. The atmosphere is that of a speakeasy and you sit at a... More

We bought our tickets from a lady on Times Square. We were kinda iffy at first but decided to go to the show anyways. The tickets were 20.00 for 2 tickets ( plus the 2 drink minimum per person). We wee though promised a live taping of Comedy Central ( which did not happen) and the theatre was reality small... More

We got a good night of comics and a great fun European audience, but this place is a dump. Sadly a lot of REAL hardcore comedy venues are dumps, but this one takes the cake. However don't judge a book by it's cover because A) we got a good group of comics and everyone had a good time and B)... More

This was by far, our worst experience in NYC. The people were rude. The service was terrible. Before entering the comedy club, we witnessed a screaming/cussing match between a couple of employees. The club itself is a dirty basement. The bathroom was disgusting. A few of the comedians were decent, but most were just not that good. All in all,... More
