This was my first visit to NYC so I wanted to taste as much as it had to offer. This tour did not disappoint. Don't want to ruin it for everybody, but do not eat a meal before this tour because I left feeling full and I have a huge stomach. The tour guide, I think her name was Kerrieann,... More

Barri was an excellent guide and really knew her history and food facts for the places we stopped. It is a lot of walking so be prepared, but they have a few nice stops in between. At first the focus was on the food tastings so I thought that this would be the majority of the tour but it changed... More

Very fun tour. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining and the food was superb. The only thing I'd warn about is that unless you have a very large appetite, you might want to skip breakfast and plan a very light dinner--they give you a LOT of food! I highly recommend it.

An amazing experience! The tour was a combination of excellent food, local culture, a bit of history - but most of all -Cindy! A combination of stand-up comedian and passionate foodie, Cindy quickly had the group relaxed and engrossed in the local cuisine. Highly recommended!

This is a MUST DO tour! This was my 2nd Foods of New York Tour and it was wonderful! The sites and tastes of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District were spectacular. The time just flew by! Our tour guide, Kurt, has a great knowledge of the area and he is funny too! I highly recommend the Foods of New... More

We have done some of these tours years ago, and they still are great. We loved the history of the area as well as the food was delish. In fact we went back a couple of days later to get some more fresh cannoli's. We went with young children and it worked out great. Everyone was very accommodating. I would... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
