This was a great tour, We have never been to Brooklyn and Rick our tour guide was great, we learnt lots of new things about NY and it was great to get to see the city from the the other side of the river. Of course the tour is complemented by the food stops, all great but the highlight was... More

These reviews are true !! 3 plus hours flew by while being entertained by Cindy. She loves her job and shares it. The tour includes 7/8 samples that show the diversity of the market, history is included in a way that you can understand the importance of this building and the area in general. A nicely done coupon / area... More

I spent 10 days in NYC and my two Foods of New York Tours were the highlights. Both tour guides (Village and NoHo) had oodles of interesting facts about art, architecture, history of New York, movies, and NY characters both dead and alive. The discussion was fun and lively and truly showcased the uniqueness of two classic NYC neighborhoods. To... More

I can highly recommend the food tour of Greenwich Village. Bert was our guide and he was fantastic - friendly, informative and entertaining. We had one vegetarian in our group and Bert made sure she loved it too. I only wish we had more time to try a tour of a different area - next time! It's become my number... More

Our Tour was fantastic! We tasted cheeses, beer,Italian food. My favorite was the Fresh Chocolate milk, straight from the farm. You should wear walking shoes or sneakers. The building had so much history ( Nabisco) Cookies! Don't miss this tour!!! You will leave very full & Happy.

My husband and I had never been to this area of New York before and this tour had been recommended by a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, our guide Curt was extremely entertaining and very knowledgeable about the food and the area. It was really novel to be able to taste all the food and everything we tried was delicious.... More

What a great experience! Thanks to a charming always energetic and considerate guide, -the lovely Cindy- we had a great time discovering the real history and the culinary legacy of the people of Greenwich Village, an enchanting neighborhood and an oasis in the heart of the hectic NYC. The food was to die for! Highly reccomended

The tour was great and when we were done I was super full and satisfied. It was a great activity for a cold January day. We were in the market for most of time and when we did venture outside for the final tasting it was welcomed at that point. Cindy was our tour guide and she was brilliant and... More

I love doing food tours and unfortunately I was really disappointed by this tour! I found this your to be really slow moving - especially when all the stops are practically on the same block of Bleeker St. None of the food wowed me and the stops weren't any hidden gems of Greenwich Village. I will say the Pizza from... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
