We shopped there in the summer of 2012 and indeed it's a very good area to shop. Prices are generally very reasonable and the quality is really good. You have to be mindful of what you buy though and don't assume that everything is sold at a good price.

I've been here twice during the Christmas season and cannot say enough good things about it. Go to the fabulous shops during the day. Then bundle up and head out at night to see the decorations, light shows, and store windows. Each store tries to out do the next with beautiful lights and music. Great fun for kids and adults... Probably one of the best avenues for shopping, definitely worth visiting with some lovely old buildings to view.

Just like a movie set with yellow taxis and huge buildings dominated intermittently by landmark sites such as St Patrick's Cathedral, Trump Towers, Tiffany &Co. At the top is the iconic Plaza hotel; the Apple Store and of course Central Park. Spend a good few hours exploring....

Visited recently at the request of my wife to do some 'shopping'. She was over the moon at visiting Tiffanys and buying a (small) necklace. Some really nice stores, yes spaced out a bit but hey who's in a rush when you are on holiday. Also managed to make my son happy, bringing home shirts and caps from the NBA... More

Great for shopping or just window shopping. There are stores from low-end to designer. Just look at the window displays in these stores.

Taking a stroll down Fifth Avenue is a great way to experience the hustle & bustle of New York City and see some of the most famous flagship stores in the world. This is a must stop if you are a shopper, but also makes for a nice walk.

It's nice, it's beautiful, and it's very busy! Tourists, office workers, blue collar guys, homeless people - you can meet them all here. Lots of expensive boutiques, and some most famous stores in the world are located here. You don't have to buy anything, just walk there and feel the city vibe.

This is a two day project because there are so many absolute must see stores. Thank goodness they left room for restaurants
