A nice street to walk and window shop and people watch. If you were in the mood to spend a whole lot of money the opportunity is on this street.
Wow! What amazing shops down this street! Perfect place for window shopping! Maybe not so much actual shopping, depends on your budget!
Love the art galleries, the life-never-sleeps atmosphere and literally any kind of food you can imagine, ethnicity to the max! All the shopping you'd ever want....and more!
Ventured into Bloomingdales and was glad we did because we found the Magnolia Bakery and I had the best banana cupcake ever!! Bloomingdales isn't quite as big as Macy's and is more upscale. Wanted to go to Serendipity for breakfast but they don't open until lunch. Was a neat street to just brouse cause I sure couldn't afford to buy!!

There are many chain stores such as H&M, Victoria's Secret, and Aeropostale, along with little boutiques as well. If you love to shop you will not be disappointed! A little expensive and very few stores have places to sit...

Lots of shops and restaurants. The public library, Empire State Building and St Patrick's cathedral are also on 5th avenue. We especially liked the NY Yankee store, Nike World, the NBA store, FAO Schwartz and the Lego shop near the Rockefeller Center.
