Great rd probably one of the cleanest in New York, we stayed at the plaza which is at the end of the rd so good stay if you want to visit all the good stores. Feels safe and goes on a long way down.

5th Ave is just as cool as it is made out to be! The big designers are all here (or close by) and it is a shoppers paradise if you want the big names. You don't have to be wanting to buy anything in these stores, just go and a have look around. Some of them felt like a different... More

Lots of window shopping to be done on 5th Avenue. Fun to walk, but be warned, thousands of others think so as well. VERY BUSY!

What a rush! There's so much to see and it's larger than life. Nighttime was the best! Bright lights and people watching! (And you might run into some music/movie stars!)

Bring some big$. Very posh,designer stores that I didn't even want to open the doors to, for fear the admission charge would be too much. (Of course there is no fee, just feels like there should be.) Was a great experience to go here whilst in New York- I even saw Victoria Beckham!! You have to do a bit of shopping whilst in New York!

I love Henri bendal and Swarovski crystal shops the best but all designers can be found in this area!!!

Lots of great shops along 5th and along madison. Emphasis is towards the luxury brands. Makes for a nice stroll even to window shop.
