Luxury shopping street. Mostly for ladies. Not really a must do in New York for me. But I stroll here anyway on my way to Rockefeller Center.

Lovely to walk down! Popped in some fancy shops and peeked in the windows of the restaurants. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a shopping lover!

Once again Fifth Ave favorite of my board game monopoly. When I spot it I felt excited, full of shopping stores you can't go wrong.

The window displays for Christmas were outstanding and really spectacular. Shops were expensive so no shopping here! Off to Macy's for that!

what.s not to love - all the streets in Manhattan are main streets - every corner has something to offer - I'm more a nature person but New York city is incredible. Went with my two teenage daughters who were mesmerized!

Fifth Avenue is quite nice, it runs a good length so you can really see all the shops. They're pretty updated, with all the latest brands. Contrasting with that were some of the homeless or beggars on the streets and the street stalls selling hotdogs, pretzels, halal food, and ice cream. It's great to see, but since it was expensive,... It's one of those things to do when you are in NYC, just walk down the 5th Avenue, see all the designers stores. It's close to the Times Square and subway so you can spend as much or as little times as you like

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
