We are in NYC on a family vacation. We met up with some family members who live in the city at this park. Our kids loved it! Our 1 year old basically found a shovel someone had left there and contentedly carried it around and occasionally found some sand to dig in. Our 2 year old happily played on all... More

The Nelson A. Rockefeller Park is a small city park located towards Battery Park in Lower Manhattan. I walked through it as part of a longer walk along the Hudson River originating in the West Village. The park is nice and neat and in pretty good condition (didn't notice any vandalism) but is otherwise unexceptional.

Or a day! We headed down around 10AM to find a vibrant community park alive with runners, sunbathers, children of all ages, nannies and parents enjoying this well maintained green space on the Hudson. There are two playgrounds, the southernmost of which is wonderful for the preschool crowd. Our grandson spent 45 minutes of the cycle-powered carousel, another hour splashing... More

We were in NY City for a couple days and stayed a few blocks from this park. The day was sunny and a bit cool but this is just a great park. There is a walking/bike path along the Hudson River that runs the length of the park. Its great for sight-seeing. You get views of the Statue of Liberty... More

We were part of the Diner En Blanc this year, which took place in Nelson Rockefeller Park. This scenic area along the Hudson, with views of Jersey, the Statue of Liberty and the skyline, even on the NYC side is just beautiful. We were so impressed with how clean and gorgeous this area was. Great place to bring your kids,... More

We visited this park after our trip to the 911 memorial. It is on the southwest corner of the island, and is a serene peace of land in what otherwise can be an extremely bustling city. If you're downtown and looking for somewhere to relax, look out over the water, and feel the grass between your toes, then this park... More

Stayed at the Conrad with the kids. Its the perfect spot for the kids to get out and play. Huge playground and they have tons of toys they pull out for the day including pool tables and ping pong tables. Perfect for getting jealous and letting your kids play with rich peoples kids. You might even spot some famous people.

The mostly of park area is passing for a modernization. Lots of people working and some isolated areas. Come back in 3 or 4 months. That is the place to get the boat to Liberty Statue and Ellis Islands

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
