For those planning a trip to the MoMa - be sure to bring your appetite. There is a terrific MoMa Cafe with a wide variety of fantastic menu items. My wife and I met friends and after taking in some great art, we enjoyed the "Italian Picnic" together. The olives, flatbread & wine were fantastic with the Calamari and other... more

Our visit was on a holiday and the place was packed, which took something away from the experience. However, we were amazed by the collections and also enjoyed the gift shops, one in the building and the other across the street. The special Monet Water Lillies display was wonderful. more

I went to MOMA on a Thursday around 12:30 or so, well after opening, and was greeted by the masses in the entry. There were easily 150 people in line for tickets. Fortunately, I was able to bypass the ticket line as my company provides free access to the museum. That was my one and only short line of the... more

A summer Sunday in NYC with my 3 teen-aged kids aged 13-15-18. Thought we'd start off with breakfast and arrive at the MoMA on foot by opening time of 10 am, which is mighty early for the kids ! I budgeted 90 minutes and we ended up staying over 3 hours. The kids were riveted by the special exhibit of... more

I had high hopes for MOMA as I love modern art but I left a little disappointed. I had been looking forward to seeing various artists like Kandinsky but there were only a couple of pieces by each of them, and a lot of the rooms didn't particularly interest me. There was a room devoted to Monet's waterlillies which is... more

We really didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did. It was wonderful. We arrived at 2:30 and stayed until 5:30 when it closed and we were wishing for more time. Very beautiful, easy to navigate and lots of places to sit and enjoy. We will spend a whole day here next time! more

OK I need to say straight away that I'm a big fan of modern art and I was looking forward to MOMA when I visited NYC. Boy was I disappointed. The galleries were absolutely PACKED so it was virtually impossible to get a really good look at the pieces. I usually have no problems with crowds but this was too... more

As part of our recently holiday to NYC we were recommended to visit MOMA. The museum has a fantastic collection of art. The six floors include fantastic pieces by Picasso, Klimt, Van Gogh, Dali, Andy Warhol, Cezanne, and many others. Ensure you have a good few hours to take it all in. During our stay we also visited the Met,... more

MOMA is a great place! Every floor is filled with fabulous things to look at. We attended a film, Beyond Ipanema, a world premier...it was free and fabulous, the theater was great. Go to MOMA it will delight your senses and soul. more

Much of the modern art is beyond me, but there are some famous works that I was very glad to see in person. I would probably not go again for awhile, because only part of this museum appealed to me. For the money, and if visual art is not the most important choice fot you, the Museum of Natural History,... more
