Took the family there on a beautiful March Sunday afternoon. We got there as the museum opened and while there certainly was a crowd we were able to find our some space and enjoy the pictures. The entrance price was expensive but kids under 16 are free so it made for a reasonable price for our family of 4. The...

I am a Narrative Storyteller. I learned to visualize other lives through visiting the museums of New York City as a child. The docent for our class trip to one museum captivated my imagination for decades with the following remark: "These Egyptian necklaces before you are very old and very special; you see, we do not know how to open...

I've been fortunate enough to visit a number of major galleries throughout North America and Europe and the MOMA NYC is still my fave! The architecture of the structure itself is something to behold and the collections are all-encompassing in terms of media and expression. It will be the only place I will visit every time I go to NYC;...

I wish I had more time for the MoMA. There is always different exhibits, ask the information counter for pamphlets. Never been a fan of museums but NYC museums are amazing!

Just saw the Cindy Sherman exhibit there (May,2012) and it was weird and fascinating all at once. Loved the entrance pictures the most,
People should know that the art there includes wonderful originals of Monet, Matisse, and Picasso. It is a place that has something for everyone. Also free on Friday nights and the cafeteria has great food.

The permanent collection is always worth seeing - it's amazing how many iconic works are housed here: Picasso's Les Demoiselles D'avignon, Monet's Waterlilies, Wyeth's Christina's World, to...

This is one of the best museums I have ever viewed. And, living in KC with it's Nelson Art Galery that should speak volumes. It's well worth the time spent viewing fantastic art.

Although very busy around the ticket office once in it doesn't feel too crowded. Buy your ticket in advance to aviod the lines. There really is something for everyone to appreciate, it's very easy to walk around and is a great way to spend an afternoon.
