we saw two exhitbits- the ancient egypt and oriental display. it took over two hours- the museum was going to close in 2 1/2 hours after we arrived. we decided that another time we would explore the permanent exhibits. More

The Museum is well worth a visit. There is so much to see, so many different cultures. It was impossible to see everything in one day. So choose wisely what you really want to see or if you have a lot of days to visit NY, do it in 2 or 3 days. More

We fix the directors audio guide tour and for those of you who aren't art buffs this was a great way to see some beautiful pieces of art and be walked through the background and history of them. More

We are former New Yorkers and had not been to the MMA in many years. We expected changes but not what we saw. The museum also includes is sister museum The Cloisters. What can you say about a world class museum? We spent two full days here. We started with the Egyptian exhibit and moved on to the Roman, American and so forth. Beautiful spot to rest with a drink. Pay what you can at the door, ask the security staff how to get up to the top and you're there! More
