when in New York, you have to go to both Empire state and Rocafeller Centre. I would suggest doing Empire state building in the day (at lunchtime to avoid long queues) and the Rocafeller centre at night. The reason for this is that the Empire State building lights up at night, and you get a great view from the Rocafeller... More

Our server Frank recommended visiting at sunset. What a fantastic idea - was magical. The view across to Empire State, Chrysler Building, Freedom Tower, Central Park ... was great. The view across Hudson River as sun setting was amazing.

Lots of little shops to mooch in. Plenty of places to eat and drink and an ice rink if your feeling brave.

Great Views of Central Park and a lovely view of the Empire State Building with World Trade Center in the distance. Visited on our 10th Wedding Anniversary, a great part of the trip with interesting facts along the journey to the observation deck

I recently went and this is a great iconic place to visit. There are great places to take pictures on top of the observatory. Also, the inside of the elevator is very interesting. Check out the today show too.

The Rockerfeller centre was very impressive with a better view than the Empire State Building (probably because the view included the ESB...) from the observation deck. However, I have to say that I have never been in toilets that were as disgusting as the ones in here (the ones near the ice rink). If the Rockerfellers are worth so much... More

I loved the Rockefeller Centre and would give it 6 stars if I could. It is beautiful to look at and hosts a wealth of things to see and do. Stand out attractions are Top of the Rock Observation Deck, ice skating on the iconic rink and standing outside Studio 1A from 6.30am to see the world-famous and long-running NBC... More

The Top of the Rock is the pick of the observation platform experiences in NYC. Not only is a great view, but it has plenty of space so you can actually see the sites without a large crush of people all over you. We combined the Top with the guided tour of the Rockefeller centre. Our tour guide, Jonathon did... More

We visited Rockefeller Center and loved it! All the scenes were awesome!! We watched the ice skaters for a while, enjoyed the sites around the plaza, and loved knowing that so much happens right here in the little part of town. Even though nothing major happened while we were there, and we were just looking, we were happy we made... More
