We went to see the flower show out in the center. That was quite cute. There are always lots of people wandering around and lots of shops and stores accessible from the courtyard. Good central location ... easy to wander thru.

You do really know that you are in New York City when you get to Rockefeller Center. It is a great place to walk on a sunny day and it is magic to see the people walking about. Nothing quite like it.

This center is truly something to behold. The ice-skating, the flags, the shops and stores and restaurants in the bottom and on the clear day to go visit the Top of the Roc. We took the subway into Manhattan and went to many areas of New York but always this place was home base. The restaurants were typical for New... More

It is like an amazing day trip. There is so much around here to see and do. Going to the skating rink the NBC studios, and shopping made this an amazing day. A must see

Since time and memorial, the Rockefeller Center area has been a go-to destination. In the Winter, you will see the ice skating rink and the lit up heralding angels along the path from Fifth Avenue to the Center of the Rockefeller Center. Around after Thanksgiving, you will watch the traditional tree lighting. They take the tallest treet they could find... More

Although we went up the Empire State Building we feel this offered the best views and less waiting times.

If you are in Times Square, do take some time to spend around this 65 story building. There is a nice ice skating ring,to begin with, children will love it. There is a charge for it. You can then walk through the building, food courts etc. you can also take the elevator and go to the top of the building.... More

For me is one of the best views in NYC. Although not the highest place, from there you can see the city with its most famous guy: the Empire State.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
