The plaza is just beautiful and a great photo op. Lots of stores and you just may see a celebrity or two.

In my opinion the best view you can get of the Empire State building and Manhattan is from the top of the Rockerfeller Centre. Fewer people and tourists, calmer and quieter. And afterwards, when back at street level, I recommend eating at the Rock Center Cafe where you can watch people ice skating - both entertaining and mesmerizing.
I'd recommend if you visit the Rockafeller Centre and you haven't already been up the Empire State building to look at the view you go to the top of the rock observation deck. Otherwise it's a good place to stop and have a wander around. You can sit outside in the courtyard area by the flags or visit the restaurants,...

On our recent trip to NYC we went on the Rockefeller Center Tour and Kim was our tour guide. He had so much knowledge of the buildings that are comprised of the tour and he had a great way of delivering it to us. My husband had taken the tour about 8 years before thought his guide was good until...

As a native New Yorker, I have passed by and dined within the many offerings at Rockefeller center. One of the most interesting of the art offerings on the plaza outside of the NBC Building is called" Human Nature.". It is primitive, yet modern, consisting of huge abstract rock figures. It is a fun diversion in this mild weather to walk...

After your trip to The Top of The Rock take a few minutes and do the Rockefeller Tour. It really is an interesting building with magnificent architecture and much large than it looks from the outside. After your tour sit and relax in the outdoor café
Was there during the Christmas Season & seeing the Christmas tree over the skating rink was one of my highlights. It was also neat to be able to see the light shows on the 5th Ave store walls at night. Wish that I would have had more time to spend there than I did
Did the tour of the centre. Kim as guide was very informative and humourous , gave a great history of the Rockefellers, the architecture and the the collection of modern art. The tour took an hour but there is so much more to see. Following the tour given the lower numbers in the evening we were able to go straight...

It's often crowded, especially during the holidays. Still, it's a wonderful place for photos and to see daytime shows and newscasters in studios overlooking the area. The ice rink is fabulous if you don't mind the long wait, and during other times of the year the restaurant in its place is pretty good. The shops in the area are also...
