When you go to the Top of the Rock at night you will understand why this is the city that never sleeps. Lights everywhere, like it's Christmas. Agreeably the view is just as good during the day time with the colors of Central Park but at night it's as if NYC got all dolled up with a little black dress... More

We had a great tour of the Rockerfeller centre. The guide was full of information and kept everyone going. It is a great way to find out about the family, the art inside and finish up at the observation area for wonderful views of the city. Great opportunities for photos and you could spend a good couple of hours here... More

Good place to spend a few hours in with the family. Good restaurants and how amazing was the huge Christmas tree?!

We were looking for a good view of Manhattan and this is fantastic. You can see all around from 70 floors up. Stunning views of the Empire State Building from close up with the financial centre, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn bridge in the background. Looking north east and west you can see far into the Bronx, Jersey City and... More

Take a tour and get some insight into the history of the family behind it and artwork displayed on the buildings. Definitely want to go back for a NBC studio tour sometime.

I would highly recommend this tour. It is very informative and a lot of fun. Ask for Lindsay as your tour guide, she is the best!

You first realise what a treat lies ahead on the pedestrian approach to the Rockefeller Centre. Beautifully paved and landscaped, the walkway leads up to a basement level restaurant behind which a stunning golden statue and fountain may be admired, the magnificent facade of the skyscraper rising up into the clouds above. This is the American Dream....or at least that of... This was a great set of views. Not sure we would have been happy paying full price for riding a lift - but with the New York Pass you get to see lots more than you may do. Went up this at night and it was quite a view. (Plus you can see the Empire State from it).

While accommodating our party graciously, my burger and fries were luke warm and not cooked to order. Perhaps it was too late at night ... but still?

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
