We did a tour through the Rockefeller Center including going to the Top of the Rock. It was really interesting! we didn't plan to actually do the tour, but it was a good joice. Jonathan- the guide- gave us many interesting details about architecture, building process and Rockefellers themselves. Totally recommended!

The Rockefeller center is one of the greatest landmarks in New York. The famous ice rink, statue of Prometheus, fountain and so many great places to eat or shop.

We had in advance booked tickets for the guided tour through the Internet. It was easy and convenient you can choose a specific time, which means little wasted waiting time. Our guide Lindsay was terrific, we had headsets so hearing was no problem, she told us a lot of fun and interesting facts about the history, the buildings. We also... More

Took the tour of Rokefeller Center and had Jonathan as my guide. Lots of interesting history presented in a fun way. Be prepared to walk (outdoors too), but it's worth it. Observation Deck allows for some great views, especially St. Patrick's cruciform shape. Jonathan was awesome, kept us entertained.

if you visit NYC in the winter, then this is certainly a stop on the way and a great experience. BUT don't eat at the restaurants (not good) and be prepared to pay A LOT to be able to trap on some very unpractical skates...

Needless to say this place has the best view of New York! I went during winter so it was freezing up there. Recommend visiting during spring, when the breeze is pleasant and the view even more breathtaking. Watch the sunset here if you can.

We visited the Top of the Rock & the queue was minimal. It was 29 dollars admission & would highly recommend doing this as you get to see the Empire State Building , Central Park etc ! Views are spectacular & the day we went it was a lovely sunny day.

Shops and eateries fairly mediocre. We had a salad each at Simply Salads staff were friendly and there was limited seating, just 3 seats actually! There was an ice rink and access to the top for a view which we didn't do. Not as exciting as we thought it would be.

Gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline and more organised then Empire State! You still do have a little wait to get up but not as long! Best pics in the night and sunset! Better picture too as I feel you get Empire State Building in the picture too

The tour of the rockefellar centre is a must on any trip to NY. Its well worth the money and even better if you have an NY pass. You will really learn alot and you don't feel the time pass at all. Sidenote though, pee at your hotel. The toilets in the centre are near impossible to find and the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
