We went up to the top at night and it was astounding. This is a beautiful building from the ground but breathtaking from the top. In the dark it gives you the best view of the city possible.

Our teenagers went to the Top of the Rock. Long wait, but said it was awesome. I was there last year and I agree, it IS the best view of NYC. My hubby and I stayed down below at the bar this time. We love to people watch! It was fun! Highly recommend this to anyone.

Awesome view from top of the rocks. Afterwards I did a tour around Rockefeller center. Thanks to Lindsey our tour guide. It was really interesting and better than expected. I would recommend to join this tour. It was great! :)

Expect big crowds but totally worth to visit. Go during the day. Make sure to visit the Lego store and NBC store.

Everyone always talks about the Christmas tree and the ice skating but I just wanted to point out the beautiful channel gardens. Currently highlighting a tropicale installation. And they nailed it. Take time to sit down near the beautiful, exotic greenery and calming fountains. Plenty of places to sit and rest.

My Husband and I visited the Rockerfella Centre on Sunday 2nd August at 7.25pm. The queues were relatively short and we were at the observation deck within 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, due to the plastic that surrounds the outside it is difficult to get a good photo but the view is lovely and gives a different perspective to the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
