an awesome toy store, it was thanksgiving afternoon, maybe that's why it was the same as riding a Times Square subway (CROWDED). It was hard to enjoy the toys with a zillion people... Go any other day than today and I am sure it will be better. We did get an excellent x-mas tree ornament with a picture slot for... More

You are never too old for FAO. The "guards" out front are very engaging and ask if you want photos taken with them. The big piano is there and there are ropes and people controlling the area so everyone gets a turn. The Muppet area is cute. Make sure you look around on every level as you never know what... More

So we went to both FAO Schwarz and Toys R Us. I personally think Toys R Us seems to be the better place for toys but Schwarz has the best sweet/candy area I have seen. You can go crazy with sweets in there! You have to go to both and compare for yourself.

We booked the tour which they give each day before the store opens and it was "wow!" They let us pick out a bunch of candy, had a funny manager and hilarious toy soldier and a guy with a mustache. Together they gave us the run of the store before it opened. So much energy from these employees -- everyone... More

This toy store is unrivaled! We had a hard time pulling the children away. They walked on the piano board, were amazed by the Lego life size figures, and wanted to buy all of the stuffed animals. A must go place with children.

Our main reason for visiting the toy store was too see the Big piano! Being kids from the 80's and having watched the film 100 times it was on our list of things to do. The store itself wasn't quite as we had imagined but seeing the piano was great. It certainly made us smile but for the kids running... More

I was so expecting something more Wow! when I walked in. There definitely was plenty to choose from but the help weren't very helpful, more annoyed that customers where there bothering their conversation. I walked around a bit, awed at the $1800 giraffe, bought a teddy bear and left.

Its the only place you can get a personalized Muppet made! The piano from the film 'Big' is free to use. Lots of gifts, sweets, chocolates and cakes. Located next to the Apple store.

We got here early one morning, after realising most of the shops only open at 10am! We waited outside, along with a few other people. At 10am the 'toy soldier' opened the doors to greet us all, THEN on walking in ALL of the staff were lined up either side of the centre isle clapping & cheering in us customers!!!... More

I think is an iconic store, specially with the Big Piano which incredibly enough we didn't have to make a big line to be able to play it, I think it is very well organized to give everybody a chance to play it. The store is huge and they sell all kinds of toys and have really big Lego sculptures,... More
