2 minute slots on the piano from Big make the visit worthwhile. Nicely laid out toy store. Lots of variety. Much nicer than Toys r Us in Times Square

I saw on their website that you could arrange a before hours tour and breakfast with a toy soldier at FAO Scwarz. We got to enter the toy store at 9:00 (an hour before it opened to the public). There were only 2 other families on the tour so we practically had the whole store to ourselves. The soldier Rich... More

It is a nice store, but really crowded. I guess is a good experience with kids, where they can make there own toys. But if you go only for shopping, i would recommend Toys r us on Broadway.

We visited FAO Schwartz at the end of a very busy day touring NYC. This was our mistake! We should have treated it as any other NYC attraction. Our boys are 9&6 yrs and both found the store extremely interesting, spending time ogling the Lego, playmobile and flying toy sections. There was quite a long wait to play with the... More

I've been here several times and I love it. Even though I did not have kids with me, its still a fun experience. I explained this store to someone and they said "like a toys r us?" This kicks Toys R us's butt. For are many different areas of the store, even an area for comics and collectables lovers. They... More

Beautiful store. Greeted so nicely by the soldiers. The employees are VERY kind and friendly. Lots of exhibits and displays that children and adults both will enjoy. The big piano is fun and there is a photo opportunity!

The entire family had a blast. The friendliest staff in town. The Muppet Workshop is a gem, mostly because of the perky creators attending the area. Almost overwhelming with assortment, plan on pacing yourselves.

We have only seen the store on TV or movies. It was impressive, great displays of huge stuffed animals, different themes from dolls to educational games. We walked through the whole store and we were temped to buy so many things but ended up choosing their well known stuffed bear - Henry and some chocolate. We are adults and loved... More

Couldn't wait to visit this...I would say it was only for the kids, but I wouldn't be telling the truth. It is pricey, but it is worth it because of the experience. It has three levels and it really has something for all ages. The associates were very friendly and helpful also.
