What a fun and friendly shop. Even though we have no kids was a great atmosphere in the shop and best part of all was finally finding a toy donkey for my friends child who's asked me to bring that back and I honestly didn't think I'd find one 😊

FAO Schwarz brings out the kid in everyone. There are staff demonstrating the new toys. There are huge sections devoted to every interest: Superheroes, Buildings, dolls, art, collectibles, sports, music. There is even a candy shop on the ground level with a smaller shop where you can make your own muppet. The downside to FAO is this is a tourist... More

I just go for the big piano I love the film big when Tom hanks plays on it. you used to be able to just go and play on the piano but now there is line ups and they take photos of you against a piano backdrop not really worth it. the toy store is huge and full of wonderful... More

After walking around NY on a beautiful snowy night, we stumbled onto FAO Schwarz. Always heard about the store but had never been. Store was huge with a massive variety of toys, souvenirs. Staff were friendly and chatty - next time I visit I am will be getting a custom Muppet character!!!

We always stop in when we're in NY. The best toy store in the world… it's not a trip to the city unless we buy a toy, watch the fun demos everywhere & check out the legos, the piano, so much more. The collection of wind-up toys on my desk isn't big enough yet!! When can I go back and... More

We did the breakfast with a toy solider breakfast in January. We were one of only 8 people (my son and a young girl the only children). We were greeted at the door by our toy solider and the manager, we were the first so was able to get some photo's and warm up from the snow outside. The tour... More

If you visit one toystore in NYC --- make FAO the one. Lots of unique toys. Very fun shopping experience. And of course they still have the BIG piano --- so picture yourself to be Tom Hanks. Make a stop in here during your visit to Central Park.

The flagship store is a block away from Central Park South, so we checked it out before going into CP. There are a bunch of cool toys to see, including a Zoltar machine, like in the movie "Big", and the Big Piano which you can dance on.

Lots of new and old toys to choose from. Nicely laid out with an ATM, coffee shop abs toilets inside. Quite expensive candy though but a must do if you have children

This is s beautiful toy shop to visit. From the moment you are greeted at the front door by the toy soldiers you start to feel the excitement. The floor of lollies schweetz is a must see. I don't think you could walk through without buying something. The muppet making area is fun. The only thing that was a bit... More
