A great visit to a classic NY icon. Worth the visit to an architectural masterpiece of a buy gone era.

One of the best architectures I've seen in my life so far. During the evening and night it looks at its best.

Of course the building is part of the NYC skyline, but the real treat is inside. The marble is incredible, as well as the elevators and ceiling. It's worth a few minutes to see a masterpiece.

The building has beautiful architecture and an amazing shape. Definitely worth the visit. Also it is located next to grand central station and Times Square.

This is probably the latter of the two most famous buildings of the Manhattan skyline. It's art deco style is beautiful and the eagles (are they eagles? I guess) have been in many a Spider-Man game. It is awe-inspiring standing in front of it, looking up. Especially at night. I'm not sure if you can actually enter as I've never... More

Beautiful building that you should not miss in you NYC travels. Great restaurants and Grand Central nearby. Go to the Rock and Empire State, but don't miss this iconic building.

I find the Chrysler building on Lexington and 42nd street to be one of the most impressive skyscrapers In the Big Apple! One of the cities older scrappers. Look up and see the detailed crown at the top!

We went to the building to go to the top. However we were told that we were not allowed. So we took inside the lobby and outside the building.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
