I was looking forward to seeing this building the most on our first trip to New York. The art deco structure was beautiful, particularly on a sunny day. It's best seen from a distance, the best view was from the roof top bar in the Affinia Shelburne on Lexington Avenue (you can also see the Empire State Building). More

This is the most beautiful monument to art deco architecture in a city that has so many great examples of art deco architecture (the French Building at 521 5th Ave is another one where you must walk inside the ground floor and see the lobby). Situated at the intersection of 42nd St and Lexington (or 405 Lexington), make sure you... More

I worked one block from the Chrysler Building; it is a beautiful monument in New York (and, of course, an office building). I loved looking out my office window & seeing this beautiful building that was always shiny. More

You don't see lobbies like this anymore, Unfortunately there are no tours of the building but spend 20 minutes in the lobby to soak in the feeling of yesteryear. You won't be sorry. More

Well, the tittle says it all. I think it's gorgeous and you can take wonderfull pictures if you approach it from the West on 42nd St. You can't really access the top of the building, you can just access the lobby. It's a pity. If you go, just look at the interior of the elevators: each one is different and... More
