.... the Art Deco lobby is beautiful and as long as you do not attempt to use the elevators, security will allow obvious strangers to pass through the lobby which is an excellent example of the art deco era. Of course the exterior of the building is magnificent so use your camera right up close to the building looking to... More

We didn't have time to go inside the Chrysler Building but saw it many times from afar with its distinctive upper levels and historic late extension on the top. An art deco building to love. Great in the evenings also as it comes to life with those so recognisable lights. Hopefully this will remain one of New York's most impressive... More

A beautiful building that we kept mistaking for the Empire State at night! The architecture is great and allows you to see a bit of Old New York!

Having seen the Chrysler Building from various points around Manhattan, including the top of the Empire State Building, I had to take a look inside. It is my favourite building in NYC and I was not disappointed. The lobby has beautiful art deco features which echo the iconic building's outside. Mine was an unplanned visit and so we didn't venture... More

To me, the Chrysler Building represents Manhattan more than any other, including the Empire State. Its automotive theme, including the Chrysler radiator caps on the 31st floor, and its stainless steel crown make it very distinctive. It’s also the tallest brick building in the world. Great location, too, on the corner of Lexington and 42nd Street.

This is easily the best Art Deco and Iconic building in NY. Do not miss. Do not miss going in to the lobby.

Love the art deco. I suggest you buy your tickets in advance (on line) upon visiting. As you walk through the main lobby, you'll get the old NY vibe. The view is spectacular during the day but I imagine it's breathtaking during sunset.

Even if you go just to the reception and walk around the hall, you get a pretty good impression of the magnificence of this building. You can also get a mythic picture of the building craved on the floor.

Went inside the foyer and took some pictures the entire entrance is silver Art Deco , fabulous building lit up white at night and not far from grand central station. A must see whilst in NYC especially the birds on the top pinnacles.
