We took the FREE Staten Island Ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty. We paid to take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and it wasn't worth it. Once you got close to the Statue, the view wasn't that great. We went up the 193 steps to the pedestal and the view of the city was great, but the... More

Buy a ticket and hop on the Statue Cruise to see Lady Liberty. If you want to climb, buy a pedestal or crown ticket. The view of New York harbor is spectacular from the pedestal and crown. The second stop is Ellis Island Museum.

We missed out - not realizing that the tickets for the crown were - REALLY sold out for the entire summer...that was disappointing for the kids. Then found out the museum and pedestal tickets were also sold out for the day we were able to go. However, we were still able to ride out to the island and wander the... More

Letting this landmark pass by without a visit is not as unforgivable as visiting Paris and not going up the Tower. Telling you what I really think is the reason why I take the time to write my reviews, so here it goes: Looking to the statue from the pear gives you an impressive expectation, but stepping on the island... Certainly worth visiting, the Statue of Liberty is a very pleasant day out. From the boat trip to the walk around the island, to the interior of the statue itself, it was good fun. Be warned, you need photo ID, so take a photo of your passport if you don't want to carry it everywhere with you. You cannot get... More

I always dreamt of seeing the Statue of Liberty and finally my wish came true. What a magnificent experience. I couldn't stop looking at her. We used our New York Pass to tour her and Ellis Island.

The Statue of Liberty is an icon and a piece of history in New York City. There are several ways to see Lady Liberty - in battery park in lower manhattan, several cruise and ferry lines will take you by the statue and Ellis Island, the Staten Island ferry also travels past. All in all a must see when in... More

Of course we had to visit, and it was very nice...go in the morning...plan on the first boat, way cooler in the morning during summer and fewer people...if you don't get there until 3 in the afternoon you won't be able to see both Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We bought 'New York City Pass Tickets online' and that... More

This was my first visit to the statue if Liberty. I got tickets a few weeks before we went to NYC. The crown was sold out do we only had access to the pedestal and museum. If you don't get tickets ahead of time you may stand in really long lines. 10's of thousands of people visit the statue everyday.
