This place was our favorite. The smell alone was awesome....the cider divine. My girls (ages 5 and 11) picked apples until their buckets were full then we fed the goats and ate apple donuts. It was the highlight of our trip - beating out Biltmore Estate! Would highly recommend for a family outing.

We go to sky top every fall with grand kids just try to go during the week and be ready to walk up and down hills. They have fun playground. Apples and other items a bit pricy but its the experience!

Great place and a lot of fun. Beautiful setting on top of the mountain. They had many varieties of apples, which you could taste before buying. Go on their web site for directions to put in your GPS

I was a little torn between giving this place 3 stars or 4. We've been coming to Sky Top for years and this year has probably been the worst with the crowds and slim pickings for picking apples. I think it's probably best to take a day during the week or call ahead and see which days are booked with... More

It was crowded but everything went smooth. Their were many families there enjoying themselves. Lines were long for Apple Cider Doughnut and Apple Cider Slushies but there were worth the wait. It was a large farm a lot of walking people with walking problems will have problems in the orchard.

This is a really nice apple orchard that entertained our two little ones for hours...mission accomplished. Beautiful views, tractor ride, feed the goats and ducks, pick some apples (or just hang out at the tasting station), definitely have some cider donuts, then let the kids have at it in the play areas. Yes, it can get crowded, but just slow... More

I won't say it's bad but I won't say it's "the place" to go. Parking is a nightmare on the weekends but weekdays seem to be a bit better. During the week however, you're competing with school field trips for picnic table and play equipment space, not to mention school busses blocking driveways and paths. Portable toilets are in odd... The best part of a Sky Top visit is the gorgeous scenery, followed closely by the fresh apple cider donuts. Oh, and the apples are fun to pick and delicious. The cons? This place is not a well kept secret, therefore it is extremely crowded on the weekends. I recommend getting there within one hour of opening to secure decent... More

The apple Cider was very good and the apple cider doughnuts were also good. The views were beautiful and the playground was a nice touch. I was also pleased with the variety of non-apple jams and jellies available as well as apple products as expected. I was very disappointed to discover there were no public bathrooms! Only port-a-potties. I had... More

Beautiful views, fresh apples in many varieties, crisp mountain air, and of course hot apple cinnamon donuts - these are the memories of Sky Top that entice me back each year. When we arrive reality hits - walking on hilly terrain for a mile to find trees that have apples low enough that my kids can reach them, long lines... More
