We were there the second weekend in November which is really to late in the season but was able to get a bag of Granny Smith apples which were good. Always enjoy the trip.

Visited was on 24/10/14. I understand the picking was over for the season, however every thing else was still sort of running. I found the overall attitude of the staff was they had made there money for the season and can not be bothered. We went to buy tickets, no one at the counter by the time some one came... More

In October, my husband and I visited Flat Rock, N.C. for the first time. We went to a matinee at the playhouse and afterward decided to explore the Skytop Orchard. It was a beautiful drive and view at the top of the mountain. We loved the entire experience. I was impressed with the varieties of apples. The smells of doughnuts... More

We were taking a drive through Flat Rock, when we saw the sign pointing up the mountain to Sky Top Orchard...about a mile (or less) up the road, we were stopped behind bumper to bumper cars snaking up the road...it was a Saturday. When we made it to the top to park, it was a sight to see...there must have... More

Nice mountain drive, would have gave a better rating but our main purpose was to get some good tasting apples. They were giving out free samples and we were not impressed with the flavor. We have gone to many orchards over the years and were not pleased with the taste. It was probably due to the weird weather we had... More

Picked apples as a family on a foggy day so no views to see for us but we had a very fun time. Try some apple cider doughnuts no matter how long the line is.. Delicious! We left with apples, pumpkins, doughnuts, and great family memories.

I visited this orchard first time on Sunday (Oct 20, 2014). The person who was driving the tractor was rude while asked with any questions. At the end, the employee asked for tips although we paid for the ticket. While I said he don't deserve it, he was extemely rude.

We having been coming to Skytop for over 20 years. We come every year and make it a family tradition. We visited on October 19. We checked the picking schedule and it said there were many different type of apples still available for u-pick. After walking the entire orchard and down the very, very back, we finally got about 1/2... More

The staff had no idea which orchards still had apples and which did not. We spent most of our time wandering the fields in search of an apple that wasn't rotted or on the ground. Finally picked some apples, and walked back. However, the chaos in the apple shed was epic. When paying I explained we were paying for some... More
