We go every year to Sky Top - their cider donuts are amazing, don't pass them up while still warm. Views are great - take the "hay" ride (bring cash for everything!). The ground offer bamboo forest, petting zoo and of course apples. Best before October or you are apple hunting not apple picking...

The best apple cider doughnuts...get them when their hot! Outstanding. The grounds or set up to give the children a treat and the vriety of apples is wonderful but too expensive.

I first went to this place when I move to Western North Carolina in 2008. It impressed me so much, that I used the Skytop name in my business. I've been here many times on many occasions but the fall is the best time to visit. They absolutely rock it when it comes to having hay rides and attractions for... More

I've heard of this place before, so my friend & I checked it out on a Sat. afternoon. Lots of cars but parking was accessible. Pretty drive from Hwy 25 to its entrance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. When I asked questions about the apples, I got a lot of information. I have read negative comments from 2014 about... More

We had stopped at a place in SC and were depressed; no apples, no pretty scenery. I asked if there was another place up near Hendersonville and she said Sky Top. Ok perfect I called first to make sure they had apples left on the tree. OMG did they ever have apples!!! My daughter had to nap and drive time,... More

This is a busy place during apple season! Well worth the drive up the mountain. Nice views. Good apples. Great doughnuts! Highly recommended.

This orchard is located high up a mountain with beautiful views. We brought Cheyenne and hiked to the very end of the orchard to pick Pink Ladies, my favorite apple. We also bought Asian pears and Arkansas blacks, and of course we purchased the best doughnuts in the world, apple cider doughnuts. We always choose Sky Top Orchard for our... More

We arrived on Sunday, Oct 18 and it was PACKED! Knowing we would be in the area all week, we left and came back Wednesday afternoon. We had been a couple years ago and I had looked forward to returning. It's a beautiful experience being out on a Fall day, picking your own apple's. My favorite is the Pink Lady... More

Hendersonville, NC is famous for its apples and tourists flock here for them. There's lots of great orchards to choose from but this is my favorite. The orchard is on the very top of a mountain and the view is breathtaking. They have every variety of apple you can think of and the most yummy apple donuts. They have a... More
