I have lived in North Carolina for almost 40 years but didn't visit the Flat Rock playhouse until now. I have missed out! It's charming. We saw an excellent production of Pump Boys and Dinettes. I definitely recommend it if you are in the Hendersonville area.

It is not braodway but their shows are very good with professionals actors and worth the ticket price. They do everything from musicals, mysteries to Christmas shows. I sugest you go early, eat at Flatrock Bakery, then walk across the street to theater. Also it is across the street from the Carl Sandburg house. Go for afternoon show and make... More

We live 7 minutes from the Flat Rock Playhouse - what a pleasure to have Broadway-quality entertainment! As season ticket holders to both the Mainstage and Downtown Playhouse, we are assured of being entertained year 'round. Add to that the Music on the Rock series (music of various famous past/present) and there is no reason to leave home!

The Flat Rock Playhouse had a show with dates that worked with my travel schedule so I booked a show to see what it was like there. The Playhouse is a good size and the show was about half filled if that when I was there. The performance was good and so were the acoustics. The only negative and this... More

The area is known for its outdoor offerings but there is so much more to NC than the outdoors. Flat Rock Playhouse is an institution. Roll up history, a cultural event and some different type entertainment, this hit on all cylinders. You can still find great value for price paid in this side trip.

Visited Hendersonville/Flat Rock for our Anniversary and took in a play at the Flat Rock Playhouse. Everything about the playhouse is wonderful including the staff and entertainers. We could not have been more pleased with our visit to The Flat Rock Playhouse!

This I not my first time to the theater here but each time has been worth the trip. The playhouse is easy to find but the parking can be a little difficult. There are people who assist and direct the parking. The playhouse offers an enjoyable escape and timeless entertainment. I have seen comedies and mysteries. This recent trip was... More

We went opening weekend of Pump Boys & Dinettes. Fantastic show! The cast was excellent. The staging was great. Guy Strobel as L.M. nearly stole the show. I was nearly in tears by the time he finished "The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine". Once again we were impressed with a Flat Rock Playhouse production.
