We drive over from Knoxville to this theater often. Each performance we say can't top the last but it does. It's a beautiful theater right in the middle of a cute little mountain town. We come for the show but spend a night or two in town, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing. Well worth the drive... More

Better shows there than you would imagine for a little playhouse. Give it a try. It is a fun night out.

We have had the joy of seeing several plays here. We've also seen a lot of plays on Broadway and honestly there is little difference,. Very well presented with professionalism,

We have subscribed for 10 years to Flat Rock Playhouse to attend 4 shows a year - from Chapel Hill, NC - a 4 hour drive. And the shows just keep getting better. The latest show GYPSY was an example of their continued and increasing excellence. the performance was so true to the Natalie Woods original and Klea Blackhurst as... More

Loved Gypsy! I've enjoyed the music most of my life. Klea Blackhurst was superb as Rose. Baby June was excellent. David Paul Kidder was an amazing dancer. The entire cast and crew did an excellent job. The theater offers great viewing from any seat. Always enjoyable.

Our Senior Adult group really enjoys attending the Flatrock Playhouse! The people in the sales office to the parking lot attendants - they are all very helpful and friendly. We sure do enjoy the plays that we have seen there - "Always...Patsy Cline" was entertaining as well as nostalgic. We definitely will attend again. We have been to several plays... More

Been wanting to go to the playhouse for years, and finally made it. The building is attractive, gives the impression of being rustic inside, in keeping with its location. The seats are comfortable and roomy, the sound system is good. We say "Gypsy", and it was perfectly done. Leading lady's voice was tremendous--often reminding us of Ethel Merman. Supporting cast... This is by far the best playhouse around! Do not miss the opportunity to visit this quaint little place. The seats are great, the sets are great and the actors are the top of the line, so professional! We saw Gypsy and we were blown away by the caliber of talent that was displayed. We were thoroughly delighted and entertained!

Saw "Gypsy" last night at the MainStage Flat Rock Playhouse. OMG !!! Klea Blackhurst is AMAZING !!! And soooooooo much better than Ethel Merman ever was. If you are in the area, you MUST see "Gypsy". All of the actors, singers, and dancers were excellent, but Klea STOLE the show. Wow !!! When God gave out talent, she got an... More

We recently saw How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at the Flat Rock Playhouse. Everything about the show was excellent--direction, production, sets, everything! The playhouse is in a lovely setting. My only complaint was the parking. We were directed to a parking spot by a nice young man, but when we came out we were blocked for about... More
