We did a half day fishing trip on the Crystal Dawn, and it was the highlight of my trip! The boat's spotless (even the ladies' room!) The captain and mate were pleasant and professional. We saw lots of dolphins, great birds, and we even caught a few fish -- little ones, but fun nonetheless. It was a gorgeous day to... More

What more could you ask for? The captain was great, the crew was attentive and helpful. Almost everyone who had half a clue caught fish, and those who were on their game caught a LOT of fish. I caught 8 tilefish weighing in at 30 pounds. One warning, the Country Girl people get 5 stars; The fish cleaners get 1.... More

We took our family which was around 36 people. The boat was nice and very clean. The 3 man crew introduced themselves and seemed sincere and professional. Once we got underway though it all just seemed like one big waste of time and money. Captain Randy didn't seemed to care if we caught anything he barely took us out where... More

Booked a trip on the Crystal Dawn with my father and 14 year old son. The 5 hour trip was consumed by 3+ hours of riding to, around, and from the fishing areas. When the captain did stop to fish, nearly half the stops produced zero fish for the 26 people fishing! Conditions to fish were above average, just terrible... More

While you're never guaranteed a cooler full of keepers, the Crystal Dawn headboat is a great time. Friendly mates and a knowledgable captain made for a fun morning even though the fishing wasn't great. Everyone caught a couple. Easy way to spend a morning fishing.

We took our annual evening cruise on the Crystal Dawn and we had a great time. The crew were so informative and pleasant ! The cruise was on the day of Hurricane Arthur and we were so pleased to be able to get it in before the evacuation. The boat is always clean and the trip very relaxing and pleasant... More

This was my first time fishing and all I wanted to do was catch some fish; I did't care the size or kind. This was the day of hurricane Arthur so no one was able to catch a lot of quality fish; this wasn't anyone's fault, just one of those things. The boat was very clean. The passengers got a... More

Out of 45 people on the crystal dawn there were only 4 keepers all below 11". The hooks we used were rusty and too small. The bait they gave us was old frozen squid cut up in smaller than 1inch sections. The "mates" were next to useless especially if you weren't comfortable baiting and removing your own fish (thankfully I... More

Our family of four were fortunate to book this sunset tour at the last minute after another company cancelled 15 minutes prior to our departure because of rain on the mainland. The sunset tour was very relaxing, views were beautiful, and the boat was spacious and clean. The first mate went around and volunteered to take pictures for groups. There... More

First I want to tell you that I have been on many charter fishing trips in Florida and Lake Erie. This is the worst fishing trip ever, no one caught any fish to bring home. There was about 30 people on this trip and when I asked the captain about having fish finders, he said that there wasn't really a... More
